What’d you guys think of these shells? I think $80 even at 50% off isn’t that good of a deal, especially when you factor how much Excals cost (which I consider the gold standard). I’d buy these again at $35 for the 18 kit, make em a 24 kit with 4 tubes then we’re talkin!

They are pretty good products. In many cases better than other fireworks. The problem is depending on where you live its cost prohibitive. Where I live Phantom is cheap compared to the competition. I still make road trips but we still love their copperheads and wolfpack double star shells so we bite the bullet on those every year.
Ive noticed with phantom its real hit or miss. For smaller family shows you can do alot with their fountains and ball shells. Their cakes aren't bad but you can end up paying big bucks for small delivery

Man, $160 is what I pay for 1 24 shell kit. I don’t know why, but Wisconsin fireworks are really expensive. Maybe I’m just going to a bad store though. We’ve been going to the same one for five or six years now, and we’re finally going to look at a different one on Sunday.
Gotta find another store, there's good ones out there, of you can make the drive I recommend making the drive to either the Fireworks Superstore in Missouri or Red Apple out in Nevada, alot of the time they can even beet some wholesale pricing. I'm not affiliated but they're both great brick and mortar stores, pun intended. I would try wholesale too you can save a lot if you find the right websites, just gotta do some hunting and its always good to compare prices between the sites aswell, just a heads up id get those orders out soonish if thats the route you take, 2021 will likely be a strange year for pyro with shipping and everything. I got this exact motor kit from Phantom fireworks many times as a freebie it's a pretty damn good Kit and as far as only coming with two tubes I have never had a problem with using online shells per one tube just have to make sure you left it tubes cool down in between shots also sometimes a piece will get stuck in the bottom of the tube you just have to get that out before we loaded
Those shells look pretty good! Better than excels... not so fast! Lol I buy my fireworks from Phantom exclusively because they’re close by and they always have great products and full inventory. The trick with phantom is to take advantage of their specials. Several times a year they run gift card promotions, for example - $500 gift card purchase for $650 in fireworks or $1000 gift card purchase for $1300 in fireworks, $2000 gift card purchase yields $2700 in fireworks. Now when you use that gift card with buy 1 get 2 free promotions they run several times a year, you can do remarkable well with your $$$. Also, their gift cards never expire. Sorry for the long rant. Just figured I’d share since a lot of your subs (like me) shop at Phantom. Keep up the great content!
If u want more of a bang and like more effects than color display in fireworks, I recommend the silver salute show because they are super loud and and pretty too

I don't see a lot of great grizzly products on your channel and they make some awesome canisters and other products. Considering the price differences you mentioned.
The one at 5:16 looked just like that break you used to use in your intro where the lightning struck though it. Nice shells from both Phantom and TNT. It's just a matter of price with those brands.
Nice I would probably get those if they where a little cheaper. In my area a store sells Excalibur’s for $65. I could get Excalibur’s plus something small for the same amount. Therefore I loved the video and keep making videos like this.

Thanks for another awesome video Cody. I love those shells. I was wondering if you have ever heard of the Pyro Demon or Pyro Diablo fireworks brand. They have some of the most impressive effects I've ever seen from consumer fireworks. I don't know what kind of chemical compounds they're using but their 200 gram cakes out perform most 500 gram cakes on the market and their 1500 gram 3 piece 3X500 gram cakes are totally bad ass. Those people have really done a lot of research.
I would say put 3 tubes in the kit. But not too bad, considering I don't like phantom or their pricing. I'd rather buy from a mom and pop type place. Which I do anyway. But definitely nice shells for their size 🤘🤘

hey Cody, quick advice, record video using manual settings, in order for the camera not to be constantly switching between 30fps and 60fps in the dark... Try a high ISO like 3200 or 6400 and the widest aperture you can get. And in order to keep a steady framerate, set your shutter speed to 1/60. Keep up the good videos, regards from Greece!

I really need to find a trigger like yours. I always have to turn the gas on and off each time, but I can't find one where I can leave the gas cannister turned on and just trigger fire it.
Just saw the 2021 Make it Pop from Brothers. They are quite different half are crackling or dragon egg rings the rest are peonys with whistle tail. Very interesting and will and dimension to a show. I always figure Phantom is mid grade fireworks at ultra premium prices and the only way to get a deal from them is to open a franchise. I'll take the excals every time.

phantom is ok ill cherry pick a few items and used to wait for the buy 1 get 2 but even than $60 for this kit not worth it to me i can get better value on other kits most 24 shell kits in NH are $60
Cody, don’t get me wrong there very nice shells but for the price there a very ehh price purchase and the fact that they were 80 sum dollars including 50% off that is just kinda ridiculous
Too many cons with these shells. (And Phantom in general.) Con#1- PRICE! At $4.44 per shell, you're getting ripped off big time. Plenty of premium shell kits available for less, with FOUR tubes! Con#2- Oddball bore size! A lot of pyros use their own mortar racks, and these shells being too small to launch from any DR11-type tube, forces you to launch the whole kit with only the TWO included tubes. Con#3- TWO TUBES? C'mon man! Con#4- No labelled effects- Useless for show planning- only good for general sky puke in an e-fired show. Labelled effects is my #1 criteria for buying any shells. Even then, you get burned by mis-labelled effects sometimes. (Excals had this problem at one time, not sure about now. I quit buying them years ago because of it. ) Pros- Decent colors/effect. Not much else going for them.

I've seen recent video of the Pyro Diablo products. Those are the best I've seen so far, behind North Central Industries.
Nice breaks, phantom has good product sometimes but those prices need to come down for sure

I live in NY and phantom is the closest store on the border of PA/NY so I tend to shop there. Wish I could have a variety without traveling 5+hours
