Ocean rates for a 40-foot container were over $30,000 a couple of years ago, but are now only $10,000 to $12,000 to the Long Beach port. Many wholesalers have lowered their prices last year and this year, as ocean shipping costs have gone down. Some dealers, though, have hept their prices the same or even raised them.
