I was a NMCOA member many years ago. I owned a 71 daily driver back in the day and in from the mid 80s thru 2010 I had a 70 that we used on weekends and car shows. Miss them both. The 70 was starting to need more work than I could do. Nicest car I’ve ever owned. Nice to see this great video. Brings back some great memories.

I miss my 1970 Monte. Took out the 350 and put in a built 406 with around 400hp in the early 90s. Changed the color from navy blue to the shade of blue the mid 80s IROC-Z Camaros had. Had the old school 5 slot mag wheels from my brother's '69 Chevelle. I had a video of the Monte but my old YT account got banned so I lost the video.

I drive a '72 in the 80s in high school. I had bought a 400 small block to put in it but moved away to college and sold the car and the 400. But everyone liked it and was a very nice car.

I had a 1972 Monte Carlo that was Mulsanne blue, no vinyl top, black interior, bench seat, 350 2bbl, with Appliance slot wheels. When I let it go, it had a 454 4bbl, 400 turbomatic transmission. This video is awesome.

I bought the blue 72 @ 2:25 mark about 7 months ago. Had to do some electrical work on it and found out the dash and center console wasn't properly mounted. No screws!😆 Alls good though. It's great mechanically and gets all the looks! Love it. It only sees sunny days.

I had a 77 with a 350 but I always wished it was a 72 as that was the year I was born. The 77 was still nice though ran smoothly and it wasn't fast off the line it would absolutely fly on the highway. It's so cool 77 had a lot of the same features like wood grain interior trim on the doors, dash and around the Gages. It was white w blue vinal half top. It had the rally wheels w Tha caps.

This brings back memories I used to own and it's going to be hard for you to believe a 1970 Monte Carlo the color was that like marina blue bottom black vinyl top blue interior it was a 350 two-barrel with no power steering and it was a three-speed standard on the column now there is a rare combination which they still owned it however a friend of mine still does

    • @Dude101p

All I have ever driven as an everyday car since 1974 is ONE of my '72's..... They all lack over 26 sensors though. No Catalytic converters either.. I mean not even a Check Engine Light. No one now a days can believe that... and people today, thinks there are electronics to break down on them also. I actually know a guy who believes I spend thousands of dollars a year just to keep them running....

This was back when GM could actually design cars with style and class. Now all they produce are cookie cutter Toyota look-alikes that aren't worth owning.
