Nice tying , I tie something similar using the Mirage opal as a back but with natural grey squirrel dubbing for the body . It has caught me some nice grayling from the Tweed and Clyde in the past .
Благодарю вас, Дэви! Отличная приманка! Не перестаю восхищаться обилием ваших материалов и инструментов! У нас в Казахстане такого нет, достаю где смогу , Китай, Россия, Германия. Мушка - класс! 👍🤝🇰🇿
Fantastic. I'm going to tie up a few and try them under the ice, for crappie and bluegill, and possibly perch. Always a pleasure to watch you. Your skill and talent are unmatched. Peace, my friend.
I would imagine if you cut a few barbs into a hefty bodkin with a dremel it'll probably do the job. Might give it a try, but I don't actually have any of those dispensers.
Great looking nymph there mate. Like that little tying tool you was using. Could you please say where someone could get one. Thanks for sharing another great video with us. Best Regards from West Virginia, Ken
Hi Ken, I'm glad you liked the fly and I have attached a link to them for you to see on ebay, I'm sure you could find them near you.. All the very best Davie
Hi Paul, I've tyed and fished them from size 8s down to a 14 though It's been a while since I filled a box with them, I need to get back to filling a few boxes so I'll add some to the list.. All the very best Davie..
Put a fat heavy one one, full off lead on the tip or better on the top dropper then a couple smaller shrimp 0n so you can find the water...it's called Hungarian style. Little shrimp work a treat. Your hunk of lead will take your good flyys down to the bottom
Love watching you tie! Love your Scottish accent too!
Excellent! I've tied for 40 years and still learn from you. Thank you so much,
John
Loved the backstory on the dubbing/dentist tool and a thoroughly enjoyable watch 👍

Such a clean tie. Colors are nice on the dubbing. Your explanation of what the original use of that tool was for made my teeth hurt. 😂

Great work! Like always.
I’ve been watching your videos and enjoying them for the last 12 years! I would love to see some of your techniques for tying a Chubby Chernobyl
Простая, красивая, рабочая мушка! Спасибо Вам! 👍👍👍

The barbed tool is a barbed dental broach though the handle was added after.
