EGFF Cardiff VFR departure and arrival with ATC

  • Local flight north of Cardiff testing out my new gopro and audio recording cable. Aircraft is PA28-181 G-OPET.
    As you will see, my radio and flying is a work in progress... at the time of making I have 65 hours experience.
    The video is meant for general information and not instruction or a guide to procedures at Cardiff - you should look those up in the AIP

    Handy video, I visited Cardiff last year with my instructor but my QXC includes Cardiff so a good refresher here. Thanks

      in reality if you are approaching from the east you'd usually get a docks arrival which is straight forward - just follow the coast to penarth then a direct join to right base for 30 or DW for 12. departing east it's always wenvoe departure which is just fly to the mast remaining south of it and don't climb above 1500ft until cleared (or past the mast) - enjoy
