- In this video we experience the Lymm, Royton & Hoddlesden Railway from the perspective of the driver and the guard. This amazing garden railway located near Camden NSW features many lovely buildings and beautiful plantings for us to drive through. Track gauge is 45 mm, with a scale of 16mm to the foot (1:19) or thereabouts.

Rails in the Garden are a group based in NSW, Australia that meet regularly to run our live steam and battery-electric trains on 32mm and 45mm gauge tracks at events held in member's gardens and at regular indoor exhibition events. We cater to all the common garden scales including Gauge 1, 16 mm, G-scale and 7/8ths scale.
We produce our own quarterly Australian magazine devoted to the garden railway hobby and subscription enquires are welcomed by e-mail: magazine@ritg.org.au.
Our premier annual event is the Southern Highlands Steam-Up (SHSU) and we are already looking forward to the next edition on 17-19 May 2024; details of pre-registration are available at shsteamup.com or by e-mail: registrar@shsteamup.com.
Prospective members may attend events by expressing their interest to secretary@ritg.org.au and a full calendar of our activities is available at ritg.org.au.
Wonderful video to watch.
Thanks! So very glad you enjoyed it, I’ll be sure to film some more. Cheers!
Some work has gone into that railway, very excellent.
It’s taken a couple of years of work, but I know the owner enjoyed every minute! Thanks for your compliments!
What a beautiful railway! I loved the ride. Thank you.
At 3 minutes, there's someone with what looks like the logo for the West Somerset Railway on their shirt, which I work on. I wondered who it was until I realised you are in Austrailia, not England 😂.
Cheers!
Simon
Yes we do get about don’t we? Quite a few of us (myself included) have lived “over there” and collected a number of shirts etc which we’re proud to wear during our steam-ups. Glad you enjoyed it!
@@SteamInYourGarden Fantastic. I will make it to Aus one day.
