  • Another TPA3116 amplifier 2x100W in a small compact package with a Bluetooth 5.0 built-in and line input. I was impressed with the power and bass line. On those Sony SS-H551 speakers, this thing sounds so nice. But this amp can easily feed more powerful speakers.
    I like that it has the ability to adjust the treble and bass.

    I've ordered one of these amps and it should be delivered in three days. It should do a fine job of powering my Technics speaker system for my desktop PC.
    Soon after I ordered, I had a hindsight! I wish I'd bought an amp with headphone output.
    Good review, thanks.

    I've been using one of these for the past week or so and I'm very impressed. I worked in audio for several years, and I'd have to say the performance of these class D amps is extraordinary. I've replaced an antique Hitachi HA-3, and the difference in sound quality is significant - the Fosi is much cleaner, clearer and brighter. And as a bonus, takes virtually no space and consumes a fraction of the power my old amp did. If you don't need multiple inputs (who does, these days) stop sitting on the fence and go buy one of these.
    Driving this from a Focusrite DAC, and it all sounds great - the DAC gives me a headphone output, too. I'll probably never use the Bluetooth input, but it is nice to have.
    Still not got used to having Bass control on the right and Treble on the left, though. Whose idea was that?

    Just got one and this thing gave my Infinity SL-20 bookshelf speakers new life and just seems like its just a resurrection. Connected to my computer via the headphone 3.5 to it using a 3.5 to RCA.
    I wonder if using the DAC-Q4 would make any difference in the already nice and clear sound I am getting... Good Review. Thanks for this video.

    For fun, I connected this small amplifier to the kef ls50, I must admit that I was amazed.
    My expensive Hiend 50W amp is not that much better at all.
    Kef ls50 requires an amplifier of at least 100 W, at least that's what they say, and the whole time I thought there was no point in connecting that cheap Chinese amplifier.
    I don't believe in Fosi's 100w, but they obviously have the power to drive such demanding speakers.
    Audiophiles would say that what I've done is crazy, but I'll have to do some side-by-side testing and see what sounds better. Also i use Topping d30 in that combo.
    All the best to Fosi.

    I got this little amp a few days ago. I didn't expexted very much,i have to tell. But it realy suprised me(in the positive way)! The sound is realy good(atleast for my ears). Enough treble and bass, enough power, unbelievable. But it's realy a very tiny amplifier, i don't care. I was planning to buy an Argon Audio SA-1 amplifier, also very cheap in the audio world(€349,-) and very good match with the Dali's(same company, i guess), i hearded it in a hifi shop. This is also a class D amplifier and looks a lot better than the Fosi Audio.
    It's connected on a Bluesound Node 2i streamer(great dac inside) and a pair of Dali Oberon 5👍 floorstanding speakers.
    Before the Fosi Audio BT20 A, i used a (total restored) Sansui AU-4400 an AU-505 amplifier(both class A/B amplifiers i think). But the sound of this small amp is not realy worse ,comparing to both Sansui amps. Specialy not about the price i payed for the restored(realy well done) Sansui's comparing the price i payed for the Fosi Audio!
    For the price (about €86,-), i think this amp is hardly to beat. For the AU-4400 i payed €300,- and for the AU-505 i payed €225,-, it's a lot of work, i know.
    Great stuff!! So..you don't have to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars/euro's for a affortable sounding amplifier, if you are not a real audiophile. (good)Speakers and dac are important.
    Sorry, my english is not the best..

    • @Pidalin
      @Pidalin 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It sounds really good for that price and size, definitely better than the cheapest classic amplifiers (class AB) like Madison MAD1305, that's really poor amplifier for like 125 eur in my country. My father had one and it worked correctly, it was not that bad, but noise is very strong and sound is very distorted on higher volume. I bought the same amplifier and it was bad piece, it has totaly distorted sound in mid frequencies, so I was using it only as amplifier for subwoofer where it was no problem. This little chinese magicbox on other hand works pretty well for how it's small and cheap, it's class D, so you can't expect hi-fi highend sound from that, but as I said, it sounds much better than the cheapest classic "big" amplifiers. I would say that there are 2 main disadvantages of these tiny amplifiers: first, it doesn't have headphone amplifier integrated and second: it uses switching power supply (not a real transformator) and you can hear bzzzzz sound because of that on high volume, when you connect real transformator power source, it sounds better. But joke is that transformator which can give you 12-24V and more than 100W cost more than this amplifier. 😀 For my big speakers I have Yamaha A-S501 and it's really great with great power for big speakers, but when you look on it how it's big and heavy, it's just magic that such a little chinese noname box can play too.

    • @Pidalin
      @Pidalin 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@Zr1_R Nope, it can really have 2x100W. There is more types of amplifiers, find amplifier class and what does it mean. Classic hifi amplifier is 100% analog (class A or AB) which should have sound with lower distortion, but it's very innefective, you need big power supply and it consumes much more electricity than you really use for making sound, it has like 50-60% efficiency. These little amplifiers are class D which works completely different, it's partly digital with no oldschool linear transistors, it's operated by chip or processor and it has like 90% efficiency, so it can be much smaller and you can use switching power supply (you don't need real transformator) which is mostly not inside of these little amplifiers but external, so it can be this small and have that power, but it's not a hi-fi thing.
      BTW integrated amplifiers in active speakers work on same principle.

      That's actually good thing, amplifier himself has reserve, but it's cutted by power suply so you don't push that amplifier to extreme. And BTW, even 2x40-50W is enough for such speakers, it probably doesn't have more than 2x50W RMS. If you want to push it more, power supply with like 150+W and 24V will cost the same as this amplifier, so it doesn't makre really sense. Also it's better to use real transformator insead of switching power supply, there will be less bzzzzz sound on high volume. If someone would like to use more powerfull power supply, I recommend solder better connector to that, pushing like 10A thru these power connectors could be too much.
