- I finally moved my battery from the rear of my SCX10 to the front to change the weight distribution and keep traction on the front tires. First I did it using components that come in the spare parts of your kit or RTR, but then ordered a Howler Customs RC Battery & Electronics Tray from Harley Designs' website for only $20 shipped. It's really slick. The battery stays to the front, but sits lower and eliminated a problem I encountered with my battery leads pushing up on the body.
The screw holes were just a bit off, so installing took an extra five minutes, but overall it was a simple install. Can't wait to get it out on the trail.

Great intro! LOL Good upgraded for the SCX10. Lowers the center of gravity and closes of bottom of the frame so you can't look inside of the body.

Nice way solve some issues on the SCX10. Adding options for placement of electronics can help others with some cool mods. :)

sweet tray. yeah all my electronics are on mine. rx and esc on one side and light control box on the other.

We're you able to use the stock receiver box? I just installed mine trying to figure out the electronics.
Alex Todd I did not. I just used double sided tape and put them on the side tray.
Had to rewind 5 times to watch you being shot hahahahah

Joe Conti definitely. It didn't take long, but it did slow me a bit as I thought through what I would do about the pre-drilled holes being off a fraction.
CCxRC™ It's an after market product. There's always something off center .. something not quite right .. if it was a perfect fit it would become a dull hobby after some time. The fun of it is changing and the having to put in your personal touch to make it fit is a bonus :)
