Not going to lie... if I were a holy dragon going up against an undead overlord who's minions consist mostly of undead and demons, that I counter.... I would probably be a bit overconfident and arrogant myself.
Honestly, calling PDL prideful and arrogant is a bit too extreme. At worst he is somewhat overconfident, which is only because he has been fighting and actually even beating high level Players and NPC‘s over the course of the last 600 years. That is something that no being from the New World can boast of. Even Deep Darkness Dragon Lord, a True Dragon Lord as strong as Shalltear who beat a high-level Player and took that Player‘s World Item, only defeated 1 Player he came into contact with. PDL meanwhile has created a vast worldwide Network of spies, powerful subordinates and even created multiple countries like Argland in order to locate arriving Ygdrassil Players and either cause their destruction indirectly through manipulation and infighting(13 Heroes Leader and 8 Greed Kings) or kill them personally if they are alone once he decides they are a danger to the New World. Unlike Elder Coffin Dragon Lord from the Bonus Volume and Shalltear Bloodfallen who are almost as strong as Ainz(Elder Coffin) or even stronger(Shalltear) and lost quite spectacularly because of their arrogance and inexperience in fighting, PDL is far more experienced in fighting opponents of his own level in power like Ainz and is almost as cautious as Ainz while trying to learn as much as he can about his enemy. Honestly, PDL is the only being in the New World that I consider to be a true danger to Ainz and thus worthy of being Ainz‘s rival.
@@jordanlogelin372 I'm not saying he's stupid or incautious but it's clear everything he does is for his own benefit. He saw Azuth as nothing more than a disposable tool. Also despite calling himself the worlds protector he only protects against players and NPCs. He has no problem letting entire countries fall to ruin to members of his own kind or other new worlders. He only fights against what he sees as a threat to himself.
Azuth better be careful a chance that Nazarick, PDL and Slane Theocracy would kill and steal his powered suit from Red Drop. The Powered Suit would make them equivalent to Godkins and travel anywhere in the world.
