The short version of the song describes Shiho’s character on surface level looking down on SS girls, but the rest of the lyrics tells Shiho’s character underneath that surface layer
It's not even a question, its a fact, SSGIRLS are good and all but Laureley is on a whole different level with this song. The rythm, lyrics even the title Itself (first time me hearing the word even though i know that meaning from different shows and movies plot) Just absolutely amazing
They really nailed how we see Laureley compared to everyone else. Even without any of the backstory, it’s been conveyed very well that there’s a heavy air that surrounds the group (especially with episode 8’s ending). All the parts with Shiho and Laureley have been nailed so incredibly well and I couldn’t be happier
Whisper me a lovesong was actually the first anime that I've watched after reading the manga, usually it's the other way around for me. And while it was really enjoyable to watch, the animation quality is sadly a bit subpar, which is a real shame. But for me the biggest advantage of the anime version of this story is the music, since music stories just can't be portrayed the same way in a manga than in an anime. And so far the music has not disappointed. all the songs are amazing, and this one is definitely my fave of all of them. The style just fits my image of Laureley so perfectly and the VA for Shiho is also perfect.

My favorite part of the song is 2:23 cause I feel like that specific lyric is meant to be for aki plus it is just so ironic considering the name of the anime "Whisper me a love song"

I relate can’t hate her or feel indifferent even if I wanted to. The song slaps too hard and they did well with her scenes.
