You Sir deserve a medal. There is an important event that happened one week ago and has been a pain to back up. You showed me one thing i was missing.Thank you
Looking at another video here on TH-cam for doing the same thing with a Lorex DVR, instead of a Search Button they have an Add Button, which makes more sense. The NVR system, like the DVR system, lets you put in a Start Time and an End Time, but instead of just letting you hit an Add Button for that time frame, when you hit the Search Button it doesn't give you just the time frame you chose, it gives you a longer time frame. I need to save a little 30 second clip, yet when I hit the Search Button, it gives me a whole hour long clip. What's the purpose of letting a person choose start and end times if they can't save those specific times? I'm not directing that at you, that's just more of a statement to Lorex if they're watching.
Thank you. It's such a shame that lorex doesn't let you get the files from the web UI, without having to be next to the NVR. My NVR is hidden away, so the easiest way for me to get the backups is to back them up to an FTP server, and then get them from there (when they finish uploading).
Once you have rhe footage on an drive how are you able to view it using the "media player" that auto downloads to your drive? It says the video format is not related. I formatted the drive to Fat before downloading. So odd.
Have you been able to make the MP4 one continuous video, not segmented into a bunch of short clips? This is so annoying when you just want to watch one continuous stream, which is what law enforcement wants to see in the case you actually had to use the video.

I understand your concern

Yea unfortunately

Try a different player
Would this work on any external hard drive? The external need to be formatted and to what format; NTFS or Fat32?
Fat32
Thanks for showing
No problem 👍
Where is the video for playback
You can just play the video after transfer

For that I think you have to manually edit it
