- Let's see if we can build a decent MRE from my local Walmart Neighborhood Market!
Barocook Flameless Cooker: amzn.to/3HWElUS

I found your channel because i was searching TH-cam for homemade MREs. I watch all of those. I am willing to watch pretty much any content you put out at this point though. I like you, your perspective. You seem knowledgeable and down to earth. I'm going to go watch your old mike video now. I'll check it some other ones too
Thank you so much. That’s high praise! Hope you like the Old Mike video.
Yes Barocook, sponsor this man, he deserves it! I am still chuckling when I think about your face when you tried that MRE😂
That would be sweet! I’m trying NOT to think about that MRE 😂
You can use camping vids to 'field test' your MREs. A few off screen concoctions appear at camp. This could also expand the menu by including items that need fire and water.
Absolutely. Gonna need to do some of that
I would like to see something like this as well. I just found this channel and I am really enjoying what I have seen.
I do enjoy the whole concept of a homemade MRE. But...l think your videos are also just plain entertaining. You very well spoken and easy to like...the kind of guy l would enjoy sitting by the fire enjoying a good whisky and cigar....keep up the great work!
Thank you. If the opportunity ever presents we will certainly share a whiskey and cigar.
I totally agree with your comment! I had suggested in the past about a meet and greet campout! lol
Loved the Old Mike story. I always love hearing regional tales like that especially when they have the "spooky" factor going on too. Thanks Mr. L.!
I really want to do more of those outings. Gonna get back to work on more of that
Ive gone back and watched some of your older content. I'm here for the long haul!
And I am so glad you’re here! Thank you.
Great vid man, you always turn me on to new things that I didn't even know Walmart carried!
Thank you. I’m learning about a lot of stuff myself now that I’m looking beyond what I normally buy.
Loving your videos. Using them to make my own MREs for working wild fires.
Thank you, that’s an honor. Stay safe out there.
This is the struggle man, can't make content for everyone. Need to follow your heart, it's your content. I'll admit, I found you due to homemade MREs but I stayed due to your calm demeanor and soothing presentation style. Good luck!
It’s not everyone’s thing but people seem to be responding well so I’m gonna do me. We will see where it goes. Thank you for the kind words.
Love the cooker you've got. They should sponsor you 😉
Wish they would. I’m pimping their stuff with no return 😂
Great way to start my Sunday morning.
Might hit the Neighborhood Market today
Cool! Glad to provide some inspiration!
Nice one. You have a list of "must haves". One item I added to this list is Starch, in addition to the side dish and dessert. Since the main usually has mostly protein and fat, having enough starch to balance it out is important. Your pack of rice is great. Also they have ready-to-go pasta, you could have a pack of crackers, tortillas, etc. The instant mashed potatoes are not "ready to eat" but they are pretty good if you are sitting down to eat a real meal.
Your assessment of adding a pack of mayo to that tuna meal is right on. I eat those little tuna-mayo-relish-crackers packs at lunch a few times a week. The mayo really adds a lot.
I would also consider carrying a packet of sugar to add to the lemonade.
Yeah one thing I’m learning is that depending on what is in the kit I’ll need to adjust my accessories. But you never know until you try
Came for the MREs, staying because you do a great job and work hard. You didn't give up. I would like to see your take on bushcraft classics. You have mentioned not really being a bushcafter and i think fresh ideas from the "outside" would be great. We focus so much on the flashy and the tried and true. You have a keen mind, sir.
Wow, thank you. I might just dive into that!
You continue to make them, ie: vids. I will to continue to watch. Camp gear, camping, product reviews, or just shooting the breeze, are interesting to us. We are Geriatric Juviniles, we camp at least two to three times a month, when your retired camping during the week is a great plus. Central Texas is our home base, however we travel everywhere. Your vids have given us a new perspective on meals for our take alongs, munchies, during the day. Thanks for your time. See you on the trail.
That is an honor. Thanks for that.
Great content Sir.... Educational and entertaining. Having an emergency supply of food and water is common sense...well it used to be. We learned during the 2003 blackout just how ill prepared 80% of our neighbors were. I am sixty-six and one of two surviving out of five boys. Our parents came up in the depression so they taught us how to hunt, fish, garden, and store food. I taught my kids same and now my grandkids are learning self sufficiency. Learn to garden the area you have available and it will give you different outlook on life.
Unfortunately, self-sufficiency is a lost Art. I really wish more people at least made a minimal effort to try to survive on their own.
Looks tasty. Couple suggestions to keep your eye out for... Having children means having a verity of individual portioned snakes for on the go. 2 I will recommend here are applesauce and shelf stable yogurt pouches. Doesn't get much easier for "walk around" snack then twisting off a cap and sucking a pouch empty. One idea for drink mixes also is Pedialyte or store brand baby/child powdered drink mixes. I can typically find them on sale for cheaper than most sports drink brands. ✌️🇺🇸
I’m thinking I’ll need to do a kid friendly MRE soon and will definitely include those ideas.
Good video. Thanks! I tried the Great Value oulled pork with Ben's garlic butter ready rice. That was good. I agree the tuna pouches are good, but way overdone. For future videos, most any outdoor, camping, hunt/fish/bushcraft content is welcome. Of course, the homemade mre's could be part of that. Lol
I feel like no matter what I do the MREs will be along for the ride. Thanks for the support!
I've been enjoying your videos, lots of good info & ideas. It appears I'm in about the same area as you, I like your camping videos because it's easy recon for me to check out areas I might like to visit that aren't too far a drive.
I do a lot at Tennessee state parks and LBL area. Look for some of those videos if you get the urge to do so.
Just discovered your channel 2 days ago man thanks for the videos and your taste testing. Man keep doing this for the budget minded prepping people. So far love your content!!
Thanks! I’m glad you’re here.
Nice combination of homemade MRE items. I would add a couple of tubes of instant coffee and a couple of teabags for my personal choice.
Absolutely. The best thing about DIY MREs is you get to build it to suit your needs!
That one looks really delicious. I smell a future video backpack hiking into a remote location along the KY lake.
That sounds like a great plan!
Btw, if you want to add a little bit of that tart flavor to a drink or snack, you can buy malic acid powder to add to it. Malic acid is the additive used in foods and candies to give it the tartness.
Great info! Thanks!
Hey just found your videos and I've really liked them. I would like to see sort of everything laid out though so we can see it all together. One thing you brought up in a previous video was sodium content, and while people with blood pressure issues do need to be mindful, you need to source things that are higher in Potassium. Potassium binds with sodium in the body and is essential for certain processes. You have to have both for things like Acid production in the stomach (HCL has to have the CL lol) Potassium helps you regulate your fluid balance, as well as nervous system response and heart contractions. So looking for items that have higher potassium is more important for most than looking for lower sodium. Everyone thinks Bananas but, Pinto beans have 646 mg per serving and can cancel out sodium at a 1:1 scale. Beet Greens have 909, Yams baked 670, and Portobello Mushrooms 521. Hope to see your next one!
Good suggestions. I do need to start getting a “group shot” of the items.
I found your channel scrolling! I’m a semi prepper so I think that’s why it popped up! I’m loving it! I’m on video #3 and have a Barocook in my cart. These are eye opening and never thought to do any of this!
I’m so glad you found the channel! I’m so glad to provide some inspiration.
@@dadbudgetadventures me too! I’m excited to add a stockpile section! So many thoughts about all those great finds! I have a fb page on freeze dried foods and food storage. I’d love to put a couple of your videos on there. I try to not just focus on Thrive Life fd but ALL food preps
Absolutely. I’d be honored.
True Lemonade has stevia in it
Good to know
The Wally markets are taking on Aldis. A lot of their prices are now equal with a little better quality food than Aldis.
Each has its particular strengths, for sure. I wouldn’t trade one for the other.
That tuna might benefit by pairing it with the jasmine rice.
Not a bad idea. Also realized after the fact I could have added the habanero lime sauce and made it better.
Really enjoy watching your videos! I'm one of those new viewers, and I would gladly watch new camping/gear review videos alongside the content you've been uploading recently, it's all really good stuff.
Thank you. That means so much!
The phone switch over seems like a better quality video. Maybe buy a mic that can add to the phone. I randomly found your channel. I've always wanted to do homemade MRE'S. your video's are encouraging me to do that
Have at it. I’m all about encouraging people to dive into this!
Cool. I work at a neighborhood market. So I know what they do there and their freight handling procedures. The only thing I buy is laundry detergent.
That doesn’t sound encouraging
@dadbudgetadventures Frozen and dairy stays out too long before being put in the coolers. I don't trust them on meat.
Great video, I really enoyed it,
Can I suggest a MRE challenge? How about trying to put together an MRE with just the items in the sales fliers you get in the mail, news papers, or the ones they have in the foyer in the stores?
Also, since you assemble these MRE's to be eaten straight out of the package without having to cook them. How about tasting them before and after they are cooked to see if you could in fact eat them cold?
Keep these videos coming, I realy enjoy them, and I'm learning something every time I watch one.
JT
Great suggestions. Let’s see what happens!
Try thoroughly stirring and mixing everything in the cooker then cook it. You always cook it then stir. I feel like it will cook quicker more even and the flavors will melt better if you try mixing them putting the steam packet and lid on.
👍
@@dadbudgetadventures dang I didn't mean to post it three times 😂
@@user-vk4lh6ub1j no problem, it happens. I just replied to them so it wouldn’t keep showing up in my unanswered comments. Three comments are great for the algorithm though 😂
@@dadbudgetadventures iol comment more on your vids 😁
Flameless heaters are one-time use. I know that's fine for an emergency. Do you think an electric lunchbox could ever be practical as a reusable food heater? I have a few ways to generate low levels of power in case of complete blackouts. It's not usually hard to generate small amounts of electricity for me.
Absolutely. Those are a great way to go if you are in a position to have power. I have a couple of the Asian style ones at home. Might use one soon for one of these MRE videos.
👍. Thanks 🙏🏼
You’re welcome!
I would love to see 24 hour dollarstore mres. Different stores... dollarama... dollartree ect. MREs sometimes have oatmeal... but any breakfast bars would work to keep you in the parameters. I realize you are not grabbing cans... because winter. 😂 really I am in Canada...I get it. It does take away some options.
Another set of vids I would love to see are just add water mres. Not stuff to cook... but it could unlock a bunch of stuff. You are limited only by the boundaries of your imagination.
I’m building lots of ideas and you all keep giving me more great suggestions. There’s a lot of great options for future content!
Great work! Thanks for doing these!
You’re welcome. I’m having a lot of fun with them.
Love that flameless cooker, but oh boy is it pricey. I guess it's worth it if someone goes camping/hiking a lot.
It’s not something for a casual user. But if you travel or camp a lot it’s ideal.
I love your content and will watch anything that you put out here ❤
Thank you so much!
Just buy the 30 pound bags of rice when you go to walmart. When you just want to survive just buy the cheapest thing possible. Flour for bread because water is handy in the us and yeast just grows everywhere.
There’s that
This was great! Thanks
I’m always up for watching camping and gear review videos 👍🏻
Thank you. There will be more of that soon
Happy to watch camping or gear reviews
Cool. Got lots of that already and really want to do more.
Nice video, I dig it. Thanks
Thank you!
You may or may not have this in another video (just new to your pages), but a suggestion: single serve packaged slices of Spam.. I bought some and they are good for one sandwich or could be cut up for adding to a meal. Mine have a 2026 expiration date....
I’ve looked at them but I’m not a huge fan of Spam. The only way I eat it is if I cut it up into fried rice. But it’s a great suggestion for folks who like it.
Just found your channel couple days ago, must say so far I like it... keep up the good work.
Thank you. I’m glad you’re here!
Another great video my friend.
Thank you. Much appreciated!
Ok, I see the chow kit in the cooker. Like!. Addition: pair of 100% cotton bandanas. Lightweight, reusable, multipurpose. Looks like the start of a good base camp/field/bugout kit.
Good idea!
Camping videos would be nice and you can feature some of your food items in it as well....
Going to be doing just that
I got some sachets of instant Folgers coffee, a box of seven for a buck at Walmart. I went with Folgers because it’s what I grew up on and I figured if I had to resort to instant in an emergency I wanted it to be something comforting and familiar. I normally use those premade pour-over packets while boondocking in my car.
Familiarity, especially with something you like, is always a good plan!
Yes, exactly. Especially if things are stressful. I figure even if I don’t have a way to heat up the coffee (like is required with the pour-over packets) I can mix up a packet of this instant in room temp or even cold water and get my fix.
Exactly. Be ready to deal with whatever comes at you.
If you like strong coffee look and see if you can find Cafe bustelo instant espresso tubes. They are about a buck more but I think you get 10 pouches/tubes. Very rich dark coffee flavor. It's one of my favorite while hiking but I'm also the one who has to make vacuum tiny pouches of sugar/creamer to dump in as I like it rich and sweet lol. But I always have odds and ends of the vacuum plastic so I add my sugar amd powdered creamer(which comes in flavors if you're fancy lol like me) and drop in a coffee tube and seal. I usually don't even vacuum it as it's so small. I can make 10 of those and it takes up almost no room in my hiking kit. I don't long distance hike any longer but we occasionally do a few over night trips. Having a hot coffee at lunch or breakfast is good. But they seem pretty okay as a cold coffee drink too. Just takes a bit of shaking to mix
great!
Thank you
Well done. :)
Thank you
Another great MRE vid! And have to say I appreciate that you have your 'rules' for it...mainly rule #1.....eat out of package without cooking/heating. So many other videos makers are making great survival food packets but often require cooking and/or boiling water. If you come across Country Time lemonage flavor mix packets they are slightly larger but use regular sugar and it's a much better flavor than the other sweeteners (natural or artificial).
I will look for that. I’d rather have the real thing
Camping & gear reviews sound good too. I would think they would pretty much go hand in hand with the MRE making videos anyways, at least usually. I can also see that most people who work 9-5 type jobs would probably want to see emergency meal prep or even just emergency prep bc it would be more for the common person, so more popular for scrolling social media, etc. . I suppose the other hikers, campers, or even travelers like van lifers or car camping or those that have a camper or RV would already be living through those situations regularly so they may not need the extra help, ...maybe. I do think your videos are helpful to people who maybe just need a little help thinking outside the box it maybe even just showing things like homemade MRE's are possible & don't have to be awful. Thank you for sharing. Going to go watch the old Mike video now, 🤓
Thanks for that thoughtful input. That’s great perspective for me to consider.
Cool video
Thank you
I love that $1 sauce endcap! Wish I'd found it before Christmas for stocking stuffers!
That was one thing I thought about the first time I saw it!
Thanks for sharing with us what works and what doesn't. Some stuff you just have to try and maybe try making some adjustments to it to make it appetizing.
Exactly. That’s part of the fun of buying things I haven’t tried. You get to share the experience with me
Love those Tabanero sauces, our favorites are the Peach Bourbon and the Black Cherry. Your videos have inspired me to start thinking about putting some of these together for myself too, seeing as how living in California and the wildfires if we had to evacuate would be nice to have some good food if we need.
That would be a great application for these. Always good to hear I’ve inspired creative thinking!
Great video, I like to use the uncle bens ready rice for my hiking and camping trips its cheap and convenient. That shredded pork is a cool find I will have to grab a few of those!
It really was surprisingly good. Share with a friend though, it was a lot.
Uncle bens 10 is really good too .. I live off the true strawberry lemonade .. it reminds me of pink starburst .. Walmart also has riced veggies in bags as well as fillo bagged beans..I’d pass on the tuna just for the fact it’s in oil.. tuna and oil never works .. get some condiment packs next time you are in a 7/11 .. my 711 has little packs of onions, relish and horseradish radish for some reason
For a standard MRE I would include condiment packs but I’m trying to only include food items I get at the single location. I will be building some from multiple locations though.
You rock
Thank you so much!
New fan love love love
Thank you. I’m glad you’re here!
Another great video sir. One of the things I wish someone would make is a homemade breakfast C Rations meal. I can usually find the dinner ones on TH-cam but never the breakfast ones. The scrambled eggs and ham in a can would be a challenge to find.
If I can find them I will do it!
Those $1 sauce bottles look very cool gonna have to see if they have them around here. We do not have any small stores around here.
There is a town that my nephew, niece, and sister-in-law(ex) live in. They do not have any grocery stores in their town but have the busiest Kwik.Trip gas station in the whole state because it's right next to a huge tourist area. Don't know what someone never started a grocery store there .
You’d thing Dollar General would at least put one of their market stores there
@@dadbudgetadventures there used to be a dollar store.there but it was a couple miles out of town and they didn't last very long.
My dad used to preach at a church next to the gas station. They sold the church to the gas station and tore it down for mostly a parking lot for now.
That sounds like living in the boonies right there
If you're looking for ideas for content, getting your ham radio license and documenting the process might be fun. Goes along with preparedness in my opinion.
That’s a cool idea!
Try the True Lemon friut drinks too. No artificial sweetners. A great selection of real fruit flavors!
I’m definitely going to try more of those
Iv never seen that pork package before. The bulk & bakery isle at walmart is good for side items. Maybe not practical for your channels format but it's an over looked isle when it comes to this topic
🍫
For this particular approach it might not work but if you’re building MREs for short term storage then that’s perfect.
Hello, brand new subscriber and I'm loving your videos and you've given me some great ideas !! I am vegetarian though, I'd love to see you take up that challenge. I am also diabetic so low carb only to add to that haha. It's challenging every day for me. Trying to food prep seems like mission impossible 🤷♀️
Prepared foods for people with any kind of dietary restrictions are a real challenge. If it’s not salt it’s fat or sugar. I keep looking though.
Love the vids. Keep up the good work. I'd like to see you always have links to the flameless heaters you use for the Barocook as well as the links to the Mylar bags you use in the video description every time you do an MRE video. Its been hit and miss if the links are there for those 2 thinks. Also, each time you use the Barocook I would like to know how long you let the entrée cook each time if it ever differs based on the type of food or do you use a consistent time for everything.
For a future video, as someone on a low carb diet for both health and fitness reasons, I would be curious to see if you could put together a low-carb MRE even if you have to source from different stores. I have some ideas on items that could work.
Great points. Low carb would be a challenge but I’ll keep a lookout as I shop.
Hello from Mississippi
Hello from West Tennessee!
I would love to hear more about the Mylar pouches. Ive searched you other vids but cant seem to find anything
I’ve never really addressed them but maybe I should. I’ve had a few questions about them. I get them from Amazon and they come in a pack with multiple sizes.
Have you tried the Pasta Roni Heat and Eat pouches? I found them at DG. It says to heat for 30 seconds in microwave or stove top with 2 tbsp water but they are great out of the pack.
I think I saw some recently but haven’t tried them yet.
all kinds of options using a large supermarket
For sure. Just have to look beyond what you normally buy to see the possibilities.
The Barocook is one of the rare things that is less expensive in Canada than in the US.
Really? Interesting. I wonder why.
@@dadbudgetadventures - not sure . Could have to do with import tariffs?? The company is from South Korea, so I don't know. Usually things are far more expensive here in Canada, if we are able to get them at all.
Loved the video, I would like to see gear reviews. Why hasn't Barocook sponsored you yet?!?!?!
I guess they haven’t been made aware they have an ambassador out there. Feel free to tell them 😎
@@dadbudgetadventures I just did!
Are these items available in every Walmart or just the market ones ? Great video , really enjoyed it ! Have a great weekend !!
I’m not entirely sure. I tried to get some items I hadn’t seen before but I can’t say they aren’t at the bigger stores.
@@dadbudgetadventures thank you for getting back to me ! Appreciate it . By the way I would love to see some camping and gear tryout videos ! Have a great Superbowl weekend !
Thanks. I’ve been doing that for a few years now so I’m looking forward to doing more. Have a great game day.
This is going to sound silly but we downloaded the walmart app. You put in your closest store and then start looking up foods. Like the pork pouch.
If they have it at your location then it will say available for store pick up (this isn't food proof tho sometimes they are out) if not, it will say only for shipping/delivery.
I've been sick and can't do much shopping and gave to depend on hubby and daughter to run for me sometimes. The meijer app does this too and tells which aisle in the store it's at. (Meijer is Midwest area only)
I often make my list and then double check while I'm stuck here on the couch any hoo. That way I'm not sending them looking for items that are delivery or out of stock. I do think it says out of stock too.
I know people probably already know this but a nice young lady in sams club showed me how to find everything as she's a personal shopper. 😊 hope it helps.
Good review! For the bags that hold the MRE contents, I’ve found textured Mylar bags that claim to work in any food saver sealer… they are expensive though… any thoughts on this?
That’s kinda what I’m using. They aren’t textured but they are made to use with the sealer. These weren’t too expensive. Bought them in a bulk pack with different sizes.
@@dadbudgetadventures which brand would that be and is it on Amazon or other locations?
@@miked9277 package says Sphere of Products and I get them on Amazon.
Love it. Got to now military background?
Navy for a bit and a lifetime in law enforcement
@@dadbudgetadventures thank you for your service sir
@@michaelabramo7373 glad to do it. It got me where I am today.
I recently joined your channel and you probably mentioned this in an older video,...where do you get your mylar bags that holds all the MRE components?
I get them on Amazon. These come in a pack with a couple other sizes and some stick on labels.
Mixing the food up before you put it in the cooker would probably make it taste and heat better
I usually let it get going then stir it a couple times so the flavors blend. I just don’t show it in the video
Did you ever have any luck finding either a cheaper alternative for the cooker warming packs, or a way to make them yourself?
I have not had a chance to experiment with it. The ingredients were out of stock when I went looking and I haven’t tried again recently.
I'm curious if you can say anything on the stability of any of these meals when kept in a vehicle long term in multiple weather conditions. Obviously, some items (like the chocolate bar in this video) wouldn't be stable in 120° plus temperatures that vehicle interiors can get to, and freezing could be an issue as well. Thoughts?
For sure. I think the best option is a go-bag setup with meals you’ve prepared for that purpose. Take it when you leave and bring in when you return. Unless you park in a garage at home and a covered parking lot at work it’s hard to find conditions where you can just leave the food in the car all the time. Some foods will be fine and are made for that but most items aren’t.
Where do you get the replacement heaters for your Barocook? Last I checked, Amazon doesn't have them anymore.
They did this week. There’s a link in the description box so check to see if they’re stocked!
So where do you find the heater packs for the Barocook? The cooker on Amazon only comes with one pack and so far, searching for the packs only yields results from other countries.
Amazon sells them, or at least that’s where I’ve been buying mine. If you look up the cooker (or follow the link) it should pop up the fuel packs as a suggestion.
@dadbudgetadventures when I click you Barocook link it takes me to the cooker but nothing shows up as an optional purchase for the pack. I did eventually find them on Amazon but they are showing as Currently Unavailable.
Try the company website. I’m not sure how much shipping is but that’s the only other place I’ve seen them.
What size barocook heater are you using in this episode?
I believe it’s a 28 oz
@@dadbudgetadventures
Thanks!
the barocook would be more interesting if the heating elements were reuseable.
There are lots of other options for sustainable cooking setups.
Do you think the habanero sauce could have improved the tuna?
I thought of that after the fact and really wish I had tried it.
Maybe this is a dumb question. But what do you use to contain all the parts of the MRE and do you vacuum seal it? Thank you.
So my process has two layers and I don’t really show one of them. Mostly because the bags are personal preference and not everyone is equipped to do it this way. I partially vacuum seal a clear bag with all the contents and then put it into the Mylar bag you see on video. Part of the reason is that the inner bag lets me organize the items in the best way for them to be put in the Mylar bag without messing it up for the video presentation.
What size Barocook do you use??
28 oz
I'm probably too fat, but those look like good portions for me, and about 1/3 of that chocolate bar.
It’s perfect for some but too much or too little for others. It’s all on how you build it.
There are those who love chocolate and then there are those who are wrong!
😂
???? what size is your Bar cook???
I believe it’s the 28 oz
I use the TruLemon in my ice tea and water. I love the TruOrange in my water. They are just crystallized no artificial sweetner.
I need to try the orange. I’d like that!
What's with the glare? It makes it hard to see the items.
Not sure what you mean?
@@dadbudgetadventures in the first shot when you're standing outside there is always a glare.
Bobby looks a bit like a McNab Shephard
My wife thinks that’s what he may be. He has a lot of the breed traits.
My dog lived to 24 years old without a vaccine.. I’m pretty sure that’s why she did.
Unfortunately going without is a guaranteed way to get the local government knocking on my door.
Some people are allergic to chocolate.
This is true
Definately stocking that BBQ Pork. We learn great creative ideas from your videos.😊
Thank you! I always love hearing that people are taking something away from these!
I'll say it--I don't trust people who don't like chocolate!!
Yep. Something wrong there 😂
Our dog used to barf whenever we put him in a moving vehicle. He was never any problem at the vets.
One time he woke up with no nuts but he was still cool going to the vets.
He had a bad habit of killing lambs so my dad told us he had given him away but of course we didn't believe him.
Bobby is the best dog we’ve ever had. Super sweet and well trained for the most part. But when it comes to the vet he’s a lot to handle. If we could fix that he’d be a perfect dog.
Several times you have broken your own rules. You cook rice, which you wouldn't/couldn't eat straight out of the bag without reconstitution or cooking. That said I do watch you vids and are good.
The rice I use doesn’t require reconstitution. I could eat it out of the bag although it might not be ideal but it is fully cooked. My concept is to build these for ideal conditions but accept that you might not always have the opportunity to cook. That’s one reason I try to include entrees that have more than just dry meat like tuna. Small amounts of additional moisture from sauce or a little shot of water make a lot of difference with the bagged rice and improve the experience a lot.
I don't really care for the true products. The Is true lennon or any of the other ones. They just seem very very very weak to me
I didn’t find it to be weak as much as just not a lot of zing. I liked it ok but wouldn’t go out of my way to get more.
