The older Ambassadeur reels were the best for many years. Sadly, a lot of Abu Garcia models had to be outsourced to China to make a price point. Some are still made in Sweden, and are still great. Pricey but great!
Yep it's hard to find good reels for shiner fishing! When you find one that works good and holds up, you better go buy a bunch of them before they stop making them! Same with rods!

Thanks for watching man! I don't know anything about the Reaction braid but right now I think Power Pro is the best for shiner fishing. For me anyway.

I noticed no monofilament leader to your hook is that correct, just straight braid tied off to your hook?
Yep you don't need a leader for shiner fishing. Used to use one, then found out it didn't make any difference!
