I had to take an educated guess when I ordered my wheels from you for my Subaru Baja recently. They didn't have a wider size of the 18s I wanted so I knew I'd need a little spacer to get them sitting where I wanted. Understanding offset is where I think most mistakes happen.
Hub centric rings. I just got some ampliform 18×8.5 +43 with a center bore or 66.6mm, my mk7 gti has a hubbore of 57.1mm so I needed hub rings to to fill that gap. Having a wheel that is only lug centered will most like cause vibration at certain speeds.
This is an important thing they leave out, and they are on the end of "They are lug centered no need for hub rings, but if you need them I'll send them, I just don't like overcharging my customer" My exact conversation with a rep. Lol. But I haven't gotten my package yet, but so far mostly good reviews, and they are very helpful in selection.
I went to a good wheel shop with reputation that looks after your car. They provided advice on wheel fitment, hardware, tyres and able to suggest suitable styles of wheels to suit your car. Perform mock fitting as well. Otherwise you be guessing if you bought online.
Mistake I make is thinking 17" is like the normal size. Also don't listen to a shop. A local shop sold me $1500.00 in stuff for my car that didn't fit and they wouldn't take it back.
I got that info on the size from yall. Will the aftermarket lugs be correct. I didnt get them cause I was afraid it was a universal add on to any order.
1989 Nissan Maxima GXE/Bose. I have new rims and tires from FI. It's a good thing you guys make all these videos, they helped a lot. Just have to put on a few more mods then I can put it in the gallery!
Diameter doesn’t affect offset or poke. It’s just bigger, the only thing that changes is the sidewall of your tire. Bigger rims are gonna need smaller tire sidewalls
Really enjoy your videos.....but. i recently purchased a wheel/tire package from this company. All the wheels were balanced improperly and one of my tires was deformed. I had to pay to have wheels balanced properly and that's when they told me one of the wheels may also be bent. Needless to say I was disappointed. The order when received was well wrapped on a pallet and no damage could be seen. And you can't return them once they touch the ground. So im at a loss for something I couldn't find until I drove on them. Bummed.
The chances of a new wheel being bent is extremely unlikely. What is most likely happening is a tire is probably deformed a bit, but it's very odd that a package would leave the facility out of balance. Have you tried contacting our customer service?
@@fitmentindustriesgarage5583 no your guys added weights just didn't do it right. Correction, they added weights to 3 of 4 wheels. Took to local shop immediately and they had to add between 7-9 weights to 2 of the wheels because of wheels or tires being deformed. I have not contacted your customer service because of my disappointment in your work. Would rather not deal with your company again.
Going to buy a new set soon! I’m so excited 😆
I hope you can stay excited for at least 5 months. That's what they take to ship stuff they say is available in their website

Are 17x9 +20 going to be as aggressive as 18x9 +20? Can you do a video how the diameter affects the offset and the aggressiveness in wheels
