Sometimes it makes me wonder wether we’re doing it all wrong, working all the time on a hamster wheel - part of US corporate culture … for the benefit of the company but comes with a lot of stress and problems, taking a toll on ones physical health, over time.
These people have it tough in some ways, but it’s also a beautiful life where they live and spend all their time amongst family and loved ones, focusing on providing the basics for their entire family and clan … outside of that, their problems are limited. It would also appear that, even without modern healthcare .. their lifestyle leaves them in decent physical shape … I feel that modern society causes stress to increase at levels which take a lot out of a person when working high pressure corporate roles … not sure if the money is worth it, if I end up burnt out and having a massive MI by the time I’m 45? God knows and God bless these people man … the world is so unique and beautiful

For those who dont know, Cholistan is a desert in Southern Punjab - Pakistan. It is commonly referred to as "Rohi" in the local Punjabi/Seraiki language. The majestic beauty of Rohi and its sand dunes is a popular subject in romantic mystic poetry of Khawaja Ghulam Farid, a famous poet of the region.

I have been following your journeys to different places. I loved this one as my ancestors also came from Multan, Layyah, Bannu and I understand Saraiki too. Whenever I see these areas I am reminded of stories told to us by my grand parents. The Chapati he made was just like my grand mother used to make with dry dung cake fires called GOY and Sweet Chapati called MUN, eaten with fresh butter and milk.

Pakistani Punjab has 9 dialects of Punjabi" siraiki, pathwari, mahji, jangli ,Shahpuri, doabi , hinko ,dhani, chenvari and riasti.. All these people are Punjabis by blood and tribes let's no divide
