Dick Clark was the right choice to host "Pyramid" because he was quite gracious and charming to both the guest stars and their civilian partners. And as for the game itself, the natural and infectious energy from both the contestants and the audience from New York City helped make it more special and entertaining. Not that much different from "Jackpot!", another great Bob Stewart game from the '70s. As a side note, the late, great Dick Clark was right to pay the sharp and winning contestant a flattering compliment at 10:47. Whether by 1970s standards or not, Barbara was an attractive woman.
Thanks for posting.
BEST TV game show of ALL time!!!
In the main game for the word Marshall, she could've said, "Hollywood Squares host is Peter..." Of course, it is so much easier to play at home.

I paused right after the 1st Winner Circle, not knowing yet if Dick Clark would offer this suggestion for the "Things with a head" box... a pimple.
The celebrity said that while giving.
"Baubles, bangles &..." for game 2.
I like Loretta movement in her heel shoes.
Her New York accent is so awesome
Around the time of this taping, Johnny Mathis and Deniece Williams hit #1 with *"Too Much, Too Little, Too Late."*
For now, Dick Clark. So long.
New York episode obviously
Old system 1 loss and you're out
