WOW, INCREDIBLE clues by Dick Clark. He is AMAZINGLY good at his own game. I guess he should be........
So weird to see Dick as a celebrity contestant.
YAY!!! This aired on the late, great WKBS Channel 48 in Philly. I recognized the announcer, and All In The Family always aired at 7:30 PM.
PDQ
I don’t like the fact that they can buzz in before the answer is read. Good change!
"I never really tasted grape soda before." That's Welch's.
Getting stuck on one clue can ruin the whole round.
Joyce Bulifant is so stupid. This is the only time I've seen someone get buzzed twice in the Winner's Circle.
Loved the pyramid! One of my favorite game shows. Dick Clark was the greatest
$6,600 for a corvette??? Inflation is insane.
The basic elements of the classic version are in place, but it does move slowly.
20:34
I recall seeing this promo on my local ABC outlet after the Alphabet net picked it up in '74.
The covers of a box...is so wrong!!! The covers of a box EQUALS a flap.
9:40 Dick comes strolling in to give the perfect answer, making the celebrity look like a dingbat.
Does Helene look a lot like Sally Kellerman?
I would have been James at 15 then(pun intended).
Yikes, they suck.
0:00 was that Danny Devito with hair?
That's one of the most unusual Winner's Circle rounds I've ever seen.
Scoreboard Error at 18:41
Kiretta Swit is quite beautiful. She looks great here.
Coincidentally the pilot for Shoppers Bazaar was hosted by Chuck Woolery and had the instrumental version of a nitty Chitty Bang Bang
Pretty awesome tune 🤘🤘
A Chevette?? One of the worst cars ever made.
Nipsey Russell poems were always something to look forward to. I miss that guy.
I hope with that 15k you took out Jamie :) I know I would have!
BEST TV game show of ALL time!!!
BEST TV game show of all-time!!!
Soupy Sales should NOT have given the clues. He is not a good clue giver. On the other hand, the woman WAS! Really bad move. She would have won. Just don't get it, why they chose to do it that way!
Agreed. Too many ah's and um's .....wastes time.
Where the heck did he get vampire from ???
I love the promo at the beginning!
I feel sorry for Stafford... Vanna only touch the screen for her to show the letter to the puzzle... Stafford she has to turn the letter of the puzzle..see how technology works it saves Vanna from hurting her hands
11:12-The scream that deafened half a nation!!! 😮
BREAK BANK $ 6000
BREAK BANK $ 8500
BREAK BANK $ 11,500
Barbara Feldman really isnt good at this game. Clue Red planet. Sun!!
Carrots are yellow?
These ppl are really bad at this.
I never said, "Out of sight" in the 70s or 80s.😂
Even with inflation in 2024, I wouldn't pay for those shit prizes. 🤣
But…but…the stool was from Hong Kong! 😂
The prices are so primitive.😂
The reason BTB was cancelled in July 1976 had nothing to do with ratings. The reason BTB was cancelled in July 76 was because the then head of daytime programming at ABC Fred Silverman wanted to create a 90 min. long afternoon soap opera block, 45 mins. of General Hospital & 45 Mins. of One Life To Live. and that was exactly what happened. Damn you Fred Silverman!!
Crazy they are discussing Halloween as a new thriller coming out that year
