Nice set up.ive just set up my entry level system.your system is my future dream for fabulous sound.its a learning curve for me and I’m loving it.watching this vid has pushed me forward to sound audio perfection.many thanks.
I bought my first pair of B&W, 602 S3, in high school. Some 20+ years later, I still have them, now in my bedroom. B&W 800 Series 2 in my main room, 802 Diamond in my office. Crown D75a amps on the 602, quad D75a on the 802s, Crown Studio Reference on the 800s. I don't regret any $ spent on these. And even with all of this, I'm very happy with the 602s.
I’ve heard these things in person and as good as this sounds through your phone headphones etc, it really doesn’t do them justice like being in the room with them.. beyond words 👍🏻
Thank you for playing the system. Really dont like other reviewers who refuse to play the equipment and yes I know I am not hearing the real thing thru you tube, however, there are some qualities that can be determined.
It's really strange .. even when I listen to this through my smartphone speaker (I know .. it makes no sense :) ), I can feel the great transparency of the sound .. In real life, I'm sure this system sounds amazing ..
The B&W 800 series (Own a pair of 802's myself) are truly a beautiful thing. They are so warm and neutral (sounds contradictory as warm lends itself to a bumped middle range, but it can have clean depth without harshness). Neutral is not forward without excess bumps. But they aren't super wide or transparent. Maybe it's the mic or room, but the speaker sounded muffled, or held back. They need to be played louder. But for music like this, I want a jazz like atmosphere. I would put these up against a Klipschorn or Cornwalls for this song.
non mi piace desiderare ciò che non posso avere ma questa canzone riprodotta da quei diffusori e con quell'amplificazione è straordinaria, mi piace moltissimo e l'ho sentita molte volte.
Very nice. All speakers have color and with these, the vocals have a bit of megaphone color, probably from that deep tweeter funnel. So beautiful though. That McIntosh gear... speechless. I can afford Marantz. 😃
Norah Jones voice it's reson for use to test audio systems , i use for testing after move speakers in room , for check . to my video's sound it's horryble .. in reality it's incredible ! Nice system !
*sensacional simplesmente meu sonho de consumo.sou um amante da música. mas infelizmente morando num país onde reina a corrupção esse sonho se torna quase impossível*
Those are some really nice speakers. Those are my go to if i ever win the lottery but for now I will just keep my Kappa RS-7s and my NHT 3.3 Reference. My Krell Amps i will keep. lol
But you dont hear those speakers. Where is the sound that you hear coming from? Your speakers. You hear a recording of those speakers played through your speakers
@@Davidarris1969 I find that B&W has plenty of depth, especially the 800d3's - they just have a very flat frequency response. But I guess its down to preference, I like music as its produced, I don't like colouration
Well, that's a fine wine of a stereo, one of the best around $100,000. Amazing B&W 800Ds, two piece Mac tube pre-amp with two jumbo Mac mono-blocks and Mac CD player to round it all out. Big time !
Or someone could just get a really nice dac like the schiit yggdrasil or mytek brooklyn dac and some really nice amps with a high class a bias and save 90k and still probably sound just as good.
If I was asked to spend a night with Jennifer Lopez, or a day with this piece of art , I would think about choosing my favorite tracks ! P.S. although i love female beauty
What particular album it’s this song from I been trying to reproduce the same sound however I Dont have that particular version of that song can you tell me where to find the exact version of the song your using please.
Norah Jones sounds good as always. A Bowie recording might be more insightful. How many octaves does the singer reach that are displayed in one song and how electronically challenging is the track? Wild is The Wind and Sound and Vision track just jumped in my head.
Can I kindly ask that you play on this magnificent system keep talking by pinkfloyd please .? That would make year 2020 s bit more bearable.thank you from the bottom of my heart.✌️❤️
I would play Pink Floyd with great pleasure but unfortunately their songs are heavy-copyrighted and no partnership with TH-cam Content ID, therefore I could not post it. Kind regards
Right at about 19 second mark, she hits a high note and and we get some sort of distortion. Sounds like the speaker can't decide between midrange and tweeter or something. Not sure what you call that but I expect more at that price point in loudspeakers. Other than that it sounds very good.
Would love to compare these live to the Grande Utopia. I would sell my car for these but the main downside is you need at least as much $$$ to spend for the hardware feeding them...
@@magicmulder magicmulder Huh? 800D3 striking distance of grands? Yes I have listened to the 800D3 and Grandes. In fact I listened to the 800D3 vs the persona 7F in the same system and it wasn't even close. The 7F was more holographic, more crystalline, more pure, more detailed and spacious. The grands were heard in another system and room so of course not easy to compare but had a massive soundstage, incredible dynamics and detail. They excel at both intimate recordings and huge scale symphony. But anyway this is not a fair comparison. We are comparing a speaker that costs $260k to a speaker that costs $30,000 and regular shows up on the used market for $15,000.
The depth to her voice is beyond words. Nice!
Simply amazing. The cost bring tears to my eyes though.
Non, Haute (très) fidélité et finance sont indissociables .
@Watt a Flac He says knowledge and finance are inseparable and i agree.
@ calaf_72, yes that's it and i see we agree together. The most important is to get pleasure with its own capacities (sorry for my poor English !).
Lol.
Yes, $70,000 seems a bit steep just to recreate music accurately. This problem is solved with a decent stereo and $10 worth of THC.

Beautiful, tasteful and a system that was intelligently chosen!
One of the best sound that i ever heard on youtube, thank you.
What you hear is the microphone capturing the room ambiance...
I’ve heard these things in person and as good as this sounds through your phone headphones etc, it really doesn’t do them justice like being in the room with them.. beyond words 👍🏻

it is amazing, that feeling of that bass wave hitting your body is awesome
Maybe it’s just a mental thing. I feel the same too.
Those are my dream speakers. My uncle has awesome custom made 800 D2, I just love them.
This sounds amazing through my phone. ;)

The presence of the Klipsches would wipe the floor with them. La Scalas too!

Impressive. Even room treatment - bass traps and sound absorption panels. Just starting to look into this
I'm drawling over the McIntosh equipment....simply gorgeous....
I think you mean “drooling” : )

Just awesome!
That Norah's album is her best sounding. It's so well recorded that it sounds good in almost any audio equipment
Whats the name of the album?

For real! Play some hard-hitting rn'r for a freaking change.

I've listen to the 802's and they sounded great but haven't yet heard the 800's (yet).
JoeMa 8318 // According to those who have posted about it, it‘s a different league.
The pairing of B&W and McIntosh is a fantastic match.
TRUE,BUT THE SOUND IS VERY VERY TINNY NO DEPTH.😉✌
@David Morgan You think so? I would say better than driven by Classe when they were the same company.
MUCH RATHER MONITOR AUDIO THAN B ND W.😉✌👌

I notice clipping in the recording system.
XD
Its a love and hate relationship when listening to music. I love the music and the audio system but i hate the cost.

clinical and icy - where is the mellow fragility ?
One question... Are two monoblocks driving the woofers and one power amp for mid-range and Twitters?
When the sound is kinda HD through a camera speaker you can say that you have a good loudspeaker 😂😂
I wanna request absolute magitude by cristh geith or what is love by haddaway
