Absolutely. I nearly came off my mine & ended up bashing the side of a van because I struggled to take off at the lights! So feck it, I've decided to unlock my bike & just fitted the throttle. Don't care if I get pulled...I value my safety more than any mickey mouse law, lol.
Love your channel. Great vids. I’ve seen some reviews of the EKX x21/Freego X2 and I would be great to see you review one just to see what you think about it . Keep up the good stuff
I have tried this bike only on pedal assist and I think the pedal assist gives a great help pushing the bicycle up to top speed quite fast but when it cuts out at 25km/h their's a drag which makes it hard to maintain the top speed and you need to slow down a fair bit before it's possible to push hard on the pedals again to really activate the motor again, maybee it would help with more gears for the higher speed... For me it was like: push hard on the pedals a few times to reach the top speed then just leave the bike rolling until it slows down and then push the pedals hard a few times again and so on...it's hard to maintain the top speed continuosly. Hillclimbs was ok on pedal assist only though. All and all I guess it's alot less effort to go with this bicycle a couple of miles with the pedal assist than on a reglar bicycle but the pedal assist is not tuned just right.
There is a reason magnesium alloy bikes are not made for the roads, one is the cost is much higher and two is that roads have potholes etc and, mag alloy although very strong and super light is also super brittle does not lend itself to bending very well.
Hey Steve, subscribed for a while and just bought one of the kits using your code from kirbebike and it's on the way (2000w conversion kit). Quick question, in your vids when building the kits you mention spacers....are they just normal washers or something specific? Cheers.
@robertbishop5564 technically just spacers but they have 2 flat edged on the inside because the axle is shapped this way. The axle is sometimes larger than the 500w axles for example but you should have enough in the kit to make it work.
Hi I brought the lankeleisi Rv 800 on your recommendation and I absolutely love it, can you advise on spares or upgrades to me and I’ve watched a lot of videos on here and your content is far superior when people ask about the RV 800 I tell them to check your channel, if you get chance I’d really appreciate it as I’m new to the bike world after losing my license through illness

Cut white wire in the esc/controller
THats the trouble with most torque sensor bikes . . . .they need too much effort to produce any speed
