- Hey GlamFam! Today I am doing a pretty easy crochet braid hairstyle for kids on Alexzandria. Now in my opinion, especially on kids, you want your crochet braids to look as natural as possible. That being said, I always try to employ techniques to make sure that her hair doesn't look too bulky and doesn't have knots showing. I hope that this video helps you out!

Loving ya Zan!! Can you please answer a question that o have always wondered about, but never asked anyone for fear of sounding too ignorant... is there any difference between cornrows and French braids? They seem identical, in other words, cornrows are just small French braids, no? Pssst...don't tell your dad, but I think you are the star in this video. 😉
Cornrows are underhand braids, French braids are overhand braids. Now Dutch braids and cornrows are both underhand braids, but having super clean subsections for Dutch braids makes all the difference, whereas you typically don’t want to overthink the subsections on cornrowing, it will cause you to mess it up. I explain all this with visuals in better detail in my how to cornrow if you need more clarity 😊💜

Gorgous. But a LOT of work. I've never liked my straight hair, but now I appreciate how little time I need to spend on it. BUT, I am a bit jealous of Alexzandria. She is a cutie pie, and so patient. And, of course she has a great dad (and Mom, and sister, and ...).
Aww thank you so much! Thanks for watching! Yes, textured hair takes much more time to style like this, BUT a style like this can last for up to 2 weeks. Now I change her styles out weekly so I can deep condition and keep her moisture balance high ( her hair is more prone to dryness) but on normal porosity and low porosity hair, this type of style can easily last two weeks.
That style is very easy if your a braider. I do it a lot for adult clients. They love it
True, when you’re accustomed to braiding quite a bit, it’s really no bother 😊

It’s a trade off for sure 😊😊 I feel like every hair type has its benefits, and it’s set backs. It’s all about learning how to manage what you’ve got ❤️

This is gorgeous!!! I love the color of course but im in love with braids that have a curve to them. To me the style looks better and more put together than it would if they were just straight!

Zan is so Beautiful and Sweet 💖. I almost fell out my seat when dad/hubby popped in. Nice hat 🙂. Gorgeous hair style and a perfect idea to place them then fill in. The double ends ; superb and can work well when doing sewin weaves, to connect the bottoms to 1 pendown (in between braids like an extra braid) .👍🏾👍🏾

She is so adorable. I love how you did her hair. Do you have any videos showing how to bead children’s hair? My three yr old great granddaughter still fights us when we try to detangle. My granddaughter amazed me when see showed me a photo of Trinity’s hair after she straightened her hair. I didn’t really realize how long her hair really is. I think Trinity would look cute with some beading, Lord knows she loves to play with beads.

I soooooo wish you made these videos 17 yrs ago😂! Nevertheless, better late than never and these styles are super cute on my 12 and 17 yr olds. Thank you for being specific in your details as my girls are learning to style their hair on their own. Even I can make these work on my hair with tweaks to make them age appropriate.
