We are staying in Setenil tonight and it is stunning, I think we parked very close to where Trudy was and yes it is very steep down and up! Fantastic views and sitting with a drink under the cliffs with swallows flitting around. Everyone should experience places like this we envy your life choices, keep travelling.
@@TREADtheglobe We haven't booked but are going to caminito del Rey tomorrow on the off chance of getting a ticket, if not we get a nice drive and a walk to the ticket office. This part of Spain is beautiful, a long way from our home in New Zealand.

It's a great biking area, coz Jerez isn't too far away and all those curvy roads are a joy... on a Custom cruiser at least! The Pocket-Rockets prefer the climb from Marbella to Ronda & then over to the Circuit via Arcos. Lived in Ojén when we first got here (72) and it was just as steep as Setenil, with the only bus stop/single taxi rank at the very top (on the main road from Marbella to Coín) hoo boyyy... (even worked with the burro taxi guy at the time, going up to the Refugio de Juánar through the mountains) Hey! l was about 14 or so; l could handle it back then! hehe Brit friends living in N. France wanted to move here a few years ago, but Brexit has stymied their plans. It's a shame. (let's see what happens with the Caminito del Rey walk... anxiously awaiting with bated breath for your reactions!)

Hi - We think everyone was at work - there were a few older residents sitting on chairs outside the houses near the top end of town ... and they all looked tidy and clean ... not deserted 👍😍😀Marianne xx
