Chris Eccleston is a beautiful man. He will always be my first doctor. He is a incredibly versatile actor. He even sings as well. He is so talented. I love his accent. His English accent is very sexy.
I really do hope Eccleston one day comes back to Doctor Who. He was the introduction for so many people to the series, and a very underrated Doctor in the wake of David Tennant (who is brilliant, but I think also quite overrated) - had he chosen to stay on for more than one season, there's no telling how fantastic the Ninth Doctor's story could have been. I say all this because it sometimes seems like Eccleston doesn't realise just how much of an impact he made on Doctor Who. I know he has his reasons for leaving, but hopefully some time down the line, the things he wasn't happy with will have changed, and he'll be more willing to return. Here's to a Ninth Doctor return, and the completion of the Doctor Who family.
I think his decision to leave was also highlighted with the need to write a whole new incarnation in his absence for 'The Day of the Doctor'. Had he chosen to return for that, it would undoubtedly have been a very different episode.
I think as time has passed, he does realise that people enjoyed his performance, and he has spoken more about his time on the show. Certainly he's always had time for fans, even before he did a signing convention last year.
Nine is my Doctor, through and through. Eccleston is one of my favorite actors. But the man himself is kind of frightening. He has this powerful and intimidating presence about him. Maybe it is the stare, or the height, or the voice. To top it off, his quietness gives him an air of mystery. He might actually be more enigmatic than the Doctor, the more I think on it. Does that make sense to anyone, or is it just me?
I saw him interview Ringo Starr once, and kept on making some joke about how he should get Ringo's phone number. Ringo then essentially said "no I'm not going to...cos I don't like you"
He already had left. These interviews were made after the series had been filmed, and so they had already filmed his regeneration and David Tennant was already confirmed as the next Doctor.
why do people have to be so negative about Chris, i thought he was an amazing Doctor. without him we probably wouldnt have it now. Yeah he left but so what. He is the Doctor and will forever be.
Ross bringing up Chris ears makes it seem like he’s got nothing else to chat about. Acts like a job, Chris seems so much classier and composed. Ross has nothing on Graham
I have to again agree with you Christopher Ecclestons Doctor Who is better than all the others. When I first heard they were going to remake Doctor Who and they had Christopher Eccleston as the Doctor and Billie Piper as his assistant I thought it was going to be rubbish...HOW WRONG I WAS!!!!! Christopher Eccleston is a brilliant actor and I was surprised at how good Billie Piper was....credit goes to the two of them and also to the other actors who appeared in those episodes.
Yes thats the one....very sad one that because Rose saved her father from being killed by a car but by doing so she created a wound in time which let the monsters through. She had to let her father be killed by the car to repair the wound in time. Its a very good episode Fathers Day its very emotional and its brilliant acting by Christopher Eccleston and Billie Piper. Its one of the best Doctor Who episodes I`ve watched.
I agree Eccleston should have made another series. You said you`ve watched Ecclestons Doctor Who episodes three times....which episode do you think is the best or your favourite....mine is Fathers Day
I Think Chris might have cringed a bit when the host told that MJ stupid joke, and I think it's because he loves soul, rhythm and blues music and probably mj also, according to what he posts on IG
I wish I could’ve gone back and viewed the comeback of the show as an adult. I was 7 when it came on and loved it, but I didn’t appreciate how different and meaningful it was compared to the older ones. To view the return from a different perspective would be cool. Was it welcomed or was there a lot of cynicism like there is with the newer Star Wars films?
He didn't really fight the guard...it was cooler than that. If you pay attention, while the guard is fully armed, mind you, he simply reaches out with one arm and snaps the guys neck. You can hear it. It's simply chilling, and awesome,
Why did they include Father's Day so much! It looks so cheap! (Intentional, since it's set in the 80s.) Plus, it's the one and only else where Rose screams like a Classic companion.
Tennant didn't play The Doctor, he played a whining moaning human who fancied people hundreds of years younger than him and was the only 'Doctor' to bitch and complain about regenerating. 'Some new man goes sauntering away' 'it feels like dying' 'it's not fair' 'I could do so much more' 'I don't want to go' it was pathetic. Matt Smith played THE DOCTOR. You know the same as all the other actors except Tennant did. An ancient being who has curiosity for the universe and enjoys travelling it and meeting people and saving them if he can. When Eleven regenerated he did it as THE DOCTOR, not some crying idiot. Matts speech was all about how he will always be The Doctor but change is good, change is inevitable and as long as you don't forget the past the change is fine. 'I will always remember when the Doctor was me' and he goes out with a big smile on his face. David Tennant fangirls/fanboys are NOT Doctor Who fans they are fans of that actor not the show. Ten was the worst Doctor ever.

Happy 60th Birthday Christopher Eccleston!🥳🎉🎂
He's an awesome bloke. His intimidating presence is infectious and that's why he fit the role perfectly.
I really like watching the Ecceleston era of "Doctor Who". He's just awesome to watch.
If we could harness Chris's smile we could create world peace, miss him as the Doctor he is just fantastic!
My Doctor.

You are now getting your wish, through Big Finish.

Agreed. :3
He is not frightening person
YES!! Exactly!! I've always felt that he showed the most emotion, and Eccleston played him to *perfection*!!
"Because in films you usually look quite weird" what a nice way to begin an interview.
Ross is a lousy interviewer. I remember he began an interview with Patrick Stewart by basically saying 'You're bald'.
He's no Michael Parkinson
I saw him interview Ringo Starr once, and kept on making some joke about how he should get Ringo's phone number. Ringo then essentially said "no I'm not going to...cos I don't like you"
That's Jonathan Woss for you...
That's actually quite benign for Jonathan Ross.
The best doctor ...
Chris is a top bloke - great interview thanks :-)
Who else smiled when he said "Fantastic"
He says fantastic in this also!!!!! Epic. Pure epic.
He was the best doctor... I almost started crying when he quit.
Aww he said fantastic multiple times! :)
Bless his heart, he seems nervous almost.
he is just fantastic!
the word fantastic seems to be stuck in his head
This man is absolutely fantastic
What a beautiful smile.
I miss him so much.
His best performamce was definitely his last one 'The Parting of the Ways'. It just shows how much emotion Chris radiates when given nothing at all.
I miss that leather jacket and v-neck shirt of his. Beautifully enticing man. Very charismatic and gorgeous.
The legend 9th doctor!
I miss him
i miss him do damn much that hurts
This interview is FANTASTIC!

4:37 LOL Eccleston's was like. Wait till the Empty child shows up!
unfortunately Chris was already pllanning to leave at the time of the interview
He already had left. These interviews were made after the series had been filmed, and so they had already filmed his regeneration and David Tennant was already confirmed as the next Doctor.
Jonathan is so right - handsome as hell
He was awesome as the doctor!
why do people have to be so negative about Chris, i thought he was an amazing Doctor. without him we probably wouldnt have it now. Yeah he left but so what. He is the Doctor and will forever be.
brilliant doctor
Ross bringing up Chris ears makes it seem like he’s got nothing else to chat about. Acts like a job, Chris seems so much classier and composed. Ross has nothing on Graham

Chris and Matt are the best Doctors of new Who!!
Yes thats the one....very sad one that because Rose saved her father from being killed by a car but by doing so she created a wound in time which let the monsters through. This is the first time I've seen a chat show clip on TH-cam, where when it actually came to showing a clip, it's not edited out :)
He actually uses the word 'Fantastic' a lot. It's funny.
Chris Eccleston looking gorgeous here. Lovely man
I agree Eccleston should have made another series. You said you`ve watched Ecclestons Doctor Who episodes three times....which episode do you think is the best or your favourite....mine is Fathers Day

yep
2:13 - in character
He would make a pretty good James Bond, I think.
I wish I could’ve gone back and viewed the comeback of the show as an adult. Why did they include Father's Day so much! It looks so cheap! (Intentional, since it's set in the 80s.) Plus, it's the one and only else where Rose screams like a Classic companion.
they should do a glitch in the regeneration cycle just so he can come back as the 13th doctor!
