I've been watching Alexander Armstrong on TH-cam from Canada and always saw him as a great and funny panel show host. To come across this sketch after watching Electric Six videos is absolutely hilarious! This is gold!
obglobgablob I read somewhere an eccentric piano player was hit in the head at a posh event in London and he sadly passed away in coma. He could be this poor man. Respect...
I can't stop watching that video for its hillarity... Especially his looks after the first verse: "Yes..? No...? Ah, you'll like it after the second..."
GAY BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I"VE GOT SOMETHING TO PUT IN YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@ScareMeSexy71 ... Another thing I love about this sketch is that all the dialogue up to the piano piece is following the butler as he proceeds with his work ... and notes his reaction to the piano bit.
Omg this is fantastic I remember watching it live I had to rewind it to watch it again because I laughed so hard.. Truly amazing comedy and my favourite Armstrong & Miller sketch.
I knew it was "gay bar" by electric six when I heard the first few notes, but the audience only starts laughing when he shouts GAY BAR!! Still freaking hilarious
@ScrumGuru thank you so very very much. I would belive that you have the perfect notes (i dont have a piano on me atm to check) but you are a real help! thank you
I spent the week with the National Scout and Guide Symphony Orchestra. Everytime we got hold of the piano, we played this. There are now seven more verses.
It did, so he was ok with that lyric "I want to take you to a happy bar" Nothing wrong with a catchy base beat either. Still it was a bit too music hall/lower class for the gathering, and then the wheels came off the wagon! It is brilliant.
Never mind the pianist, I want to hear the rest of the three stories - especially the guy who was turned to dust (all that was left was his top hat and silk scarf)!
I don't know who wrote the sketch, because, like all TV comedy series, they employ a large number of writers, but whoever it was: huge kudos! A sketch as good as the best of the genre changing Not the Nine O Clock News series in the 80s.
The way he belts out "YOU SIR!" makes me incredibly happy. XD
ong its better than the actual song itself
@@19tetNo it's not and you know it.
0:45…….maybe you guys aren’t ready for that yet………but your Great Great Grandkids are gonna love it 😂😂😂😂😂
I can't stop watching this. I want a complete version of the song like this.
yes, i know i'm thirteen years late, but it does exist
electric six - gay bar
Gay just meant jolly.
@hamishanderson6738 thanks buzz killington
@@ra2alfool you're welcome old bean.🧐
he meant like a stripped back piano version of this lol we all know that song 😂@@verytonk

You sir!
I want you to a gay bar!
I want to take you to a gay bar!
I'm watching this video at the gay bar
@obglobgablob well spotted :-)
I love the way he sings "You Sir!"
I just rewatched the Bush and Blair Gay Bar Song after oh many, many years. I just stumbled upon this version.
I love you U.K.
I love this! It's sheer lunacy. Even better when you catch Electric six's own version of the song and then come back to this. Brilliant...
And there's me thinking Electric Six came up with this song when in fact it was wrote way back in Victorian England
Yes every day is a school day!☺
Hugh Stevenson actually it's quite clear from their video that this song was created by Abraham Lincoln and his clone army
Less Victorian and more Edwardian, I would say 🤔

XD XD XD
I think this show was very underrated. These period pieces are hilarious.
"That beat is dope and those lines are are fire!"
-Sun Tzu the Impaler
Loving the hand movements he does as if he's asking, 'Yes? No? OK then...'
I didn't realize that Jim Howick and Martha Howe-Douglas were in this sketch but now I love it even more.
The pause he makes is great, like: "Maybe ahead of my time?" But then ... he goes on anyways! Beautiful!
I can't stop watching this, it's pure genius, never fails to brighten my mood :)
Great execution makes it a winner. I love the line "all that was left was his top hat and his silk scarf, the rest was just duuhst". XD
Boy, did he misread the room.
You dont say
isn't it though
Saw them live yesterday. They're awesome! They did this sketch as well, and he started singing to people in the audience!
I want to become a professional pianist so I can do this in real life at some posh event.
And have you? (after 2 years)
Svenni Tayivek
We are awaiting a reply
go live your own lives, stop giving a shit about this random comment. By the way, this song has not gotten old in over 2 weeks.

I have to come here once a month still one of the funniest sketches ever
Still going strong ?
I'll try that instead of abusing the video every day
I would buy a whole album of modern songs sung like this xD
My son showed this to me about a month ago. I can't stop laughing at it. An absolute riot! I love when the women knocks him out with the tea tray.
And note, she knocks him out at exactly the right moment in the beat. It's utterly perfect
After seeing the Electric Six vid months ago I rofl'd my ass off at this and gave myself a stomach ache. Absolutely brillant sketch....
"You sir!"
From that moment on, hysteria.
I'd love Xander Armstrong to record the whole song in this style
Oh it's Xander now is it? Get you, isn't it though?
Well he's sung "Golden Brown" with a straight face on an album & the Stranglers wrote that one about heroin addiction
GAY BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I"VE GOT SOMETHING TO PUT IN YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was drinking my coffee when I saw that.
God damn it. 🤣
I don't know what this is, but thank you TH-cam for suggesting it to me XD
Armstrong and Miller show.
Its by electric 6, though, check them out for entire sonh
@ScareMeSexy71 ... Another thing I love about this sketch is that all the dialogue up to the piano piece is following the butler as he proceeds with his work ... and notes his reaction to the piano bit.
Haha. Cant stop watching this clip, A & M always have me in stitches. Great pair of comedians!

One of my favourite sketches from Armstrong and Miller. Great stuff.
"Hypnotized into believing he was a steam locomotive" ROFL
one my fav songs in Rock Band 2 :D
이왜찐
Yea
need full cover
Go watch Gay Bar by Electric Six
best part is how they're snorting cocaine and talking about dozens of absinthe shots but shocked, s h o c k e d, i tell you!, at the gay bar ditty.
I think it might be snuff!
Snorting tobacco not coke
Omg this is fantastic
I remember watching it live I had to rewind it to watch it again because I laughed so hard..
Truly amazing comedy and my favourite Armstrong & Miller sketch.
I love Armstrong & Miller - pure quality !
I knew it was "gay bar" by electric six when I heard the first few notes, but the audience only starts laughing when he shouts GAY BAR!! Still freaking hilarious
at least let him finish the song goddamit! it looks like its gonna be a good cover!!
I Want To See Elders React Immediatly
YOU SIR!! IVE GOT SOMETHING TO PUT IN YOU!! Then he gets hit round the head by the woman with the tray BLOODY HILARIOUS 😂😂😂
I think these two are a unique and brilliant comedy duo.
That song is a timeless work of art.
Hahaha, this was pure epic, gotta watch it over and over again. Hilarious
THIS IS THE GREATEST THING I'VE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE.
Has no one heard of Electric Six? Good God, people! "Gay Bar", "Danger! High Voltage", and "There's Something Very Wrong With Us Tonight."
One of the best versions I have heard yet. Holy shit I can't stop laughing!!!
@ScrumGuru thank you so very very much. I would belive that you have the perfect notes (i dont have a piano on me atm to check) but you are a real help! thank you
This is my funniest thing that I love to watch whenever I need cheering up. I totally get the whole thing and find it HILARIOUS!!!!!!
Fantastic sketch! My favourite of the whole lot from every single one on every episode! XD
That was hilariously amazing , the delivery and all !
I spent the week with the National Scout and Guide Symphony Orchestra. Everytime we got hold of the piano, we played this. There are now seven more verses.
i absolutely love this sketch!
I've got this sketch stuck in my head
This was simple, and hilarious. I loved it.
This isn't a comedy sketch it's footage from Ed Tudor Pole's most recent concert
absolutely hilarious.. first time i've been uncontrollably laughing in a while
What a song and what a show.
This is legend!!! I love it!!!!
killed me right there and then ... the fact that he kept going after noticing nobody likes it was priceless XD XD XD
Electric Six - Gay Bar...Great tune!
"I've got something to put in you!" Alexander Armstrong is awesome xD =P
I couldn't stop laughing. I showed all my friends. Freakin' Hilarious.
One of the most underrated comedy duos & series.
Sounds like a very happy place
My friend first showed me Armstrong and Miller. I am now addicted!!
Шедеврально ! ))))))))
Omfg this so funny 😂😂😂😂😂
Brilliant!
I found this by accident but now, whenever someone comes into the office, I have to show them this video. So fucking funny!
This always makes me laugh my ass off! It's just fantastic.
everytime, when i see this i have to laugh so much =D
lmao this is the best video on you tube
This gets funnier every time I watch it.
Best scene in TV ever.
YOU SIR!
Ahh, that always get me.
LOL I gotta put this on my ipod right along with the original song. This is pure greatness!
Guy is ahead of his time.
@Phacias Thank you :D
Gay meant happy or joyous, right? Nevermind. This is genious.
Yeah. Back then it did. But then again, they’d probably think that the “gay bar” was also a euphemism too.
It did, so he was ok with that lyric "I want to take you to a happy bar" Nothing wrong with a catchy base beat either. Still it was a bit too music hall/lower class for the gathering, and then the wheels came off the wagon! It is brilliant.
Ha, I used to have this song on the original album.
this sketch is amazing XD
Never mind the pianist, I want to hear the rest of the three stories - especially the guy who was turned to dust (all that was left was his top hat and silk scarf)!
Surely during that time period "gay bar" would have been understood as a lively cheerful drinking establishment
ahhh this is my favourite episode!!!
now that's a pioneer!
I don't know who wrote the sketch, because, like all TV comedy series, they employ a large number of writers, but whoever it was: huge kudos! A sketch as good as the best of the genre changing Not the Nine O Clock News series in the 80s.
Bravo sir, bravo
You Sir!! yes yes!
I remember watching this last year! :D
HAHAHAHA BRILLIANT!
Absolutely brilliant
my favourite video off youtube
"I got something to put in you!"
Man, see 0:27... In other words, they already knew "Gay Bar" song, heh.
That was great!
going to see them in bradford in 3 weeks .... yay!!!
Can't stop watching.🤣
Genius!!!
