The Grinwells were the family the Fade killed in episode 1.04. That would be really awkward if Mat was hitting on the sole survivor of the family. My guess is it's not her. Thanks foe the video!

I think he's breaking the fourth wall just for WoT Wednesday. The character would never admit to blowing the horn, Too much Aes Sedai interest in that. I love him getting to know what Maiden's Kiss is and knocking over the swords.

Donal is soooo Mat here that I've already forgotten the actor in S1. When I re-read the series, this is the Mat l will be seeing. 13th March can't come soon enough
I literally screamed maiden kiss when I saw it
I've been doing another re-read to "prepare" for s3 and I'm on book 9. I was quite "cranky" that I had to wait until chapter 15 to see Mat again after him not being in book 8. Mat is one of the best book characters and I hope and pray that book Mat makes it on screen as much as possible.
It’s so funny because I LOVED Mat when you meet him for the first time in book 1 but by mid book he was getting on my nerves and I outright couldn’t stand him in book 2, but by the end of book 3 he became tied with Nynaeve as my favorite character and seeing this clip gives me such joy! I am so ready!!

Someone correct me, didn't the fade wipe out the Grinwells at the farm with little Else dropping her Bergitte doll on the ground. I would love it to be Else (or someone masquerading as her) running around the White Tower causing mischief. I just thought it was part of the Rand Mat, and Thom storyline in season one...

It looks like they've "fixed" getting him to Tar Valon without having to become deathly ill off screen and fixed it in a good way. I think you present a good theory, he has no idea of being tied to the horn and is currently just living it up on White Tower hospitality. He may be no bloody hero but the swaggering is on point. It also makes sense since this Mat is a little older. The lack of boyishness is giving me a bit of cognitive dissonance but I do think it's the right choice for the show. Drunk instead of ill works just fine.
It seems the Maidens, Nynaeve, Elayne, Mat and probably Loial will go to Tanchico and Mat will do his... stuff... from these two books over there. My theory is Ebou Dar is gone since we're getting Tanchico. The storylines are too similar with Mat going to Tanchico.
It is confirmed that Bain and Chiad go to the Two Rivers with Perrin, and Loial too

I’m picturing a scene in my head where Loial is trying to explain Aiel customs to Mat just before he agrees to play maidens kiss…. Leaving Loial to shake his head and mumble about humans being hasty

This actor is a pefect Mat, yes he nailed the role and it's great. But i'm a Perrin fan and am really dissapointed that i'm not getting anything of him, apart from one picture two weeks ago. I was hoping for a trailer! Season 3 is coming in less than 5 weeks, i mean come on! We need a trailer and official character posters. While i'm happy for Mat fans, i was very dissapointed at this WOT Wednesday, they should have released more stuff about different characters. I'm also probably the only person in the fandom who doesn't care about the quarter staff scene. But I really want to see the Aelfinn/Elfinn! That was the best Mat plotline, more crazy magic please!
i am currious how he got the horn back, considering it vanished up amalisa back side in the 2nd season finale, unless it's a prop and that is why he is letting some rando handle it. it would also not surprise me if the portrait is meant to replace rands battle in the sky image being passed around you know something that was pivotal to the story.
2nd how could he be famous for something that nobody in the world knows about, there was no hunt for the horn. padan fain just randomly knows where it's being hidden and not kills a bunch of people to get it with a dagger nobody knows how he got it.
