  • Electric tools are "shockingly" good now, can they beat gas? Lets test this new saw out to see how it performs. Here's Greenwork's Pro 80v 18 inch Chainsaw entry with a 2 Ah battery (link below). I review the key features of the saw and then use it to clear a couple fallen trees on my property. I compare it to my Husqvarn 460 Rancher. Overall I think its a great saw and I plan to have it as my main one for property maintenance work. This video is NOT sponsored, I paid in full for the saw and received no compensation from or connection to Greenworks. If you purchase thru the referral link below I will get a small commission at no cost to you.

I have the 40V Greenworks 16" chainsaw, big blower, 22" power drive lawn mower, and 14" weed eater w/ hedge trimmer attachment. All use the same batteries so I can takes care the whole yard without waiting for batteries to charge. Even the oldest 5 year old battery is still go strong. Haven't had any issues with any of these.

I don't know, no engine idle putt putt noise, no screaming engine during cutting. Just seems wrong on so many levels.🤔🤣 I have 16 acres and deal with the same issues. This looks like a nice alternative to my Husky. Went electric on my riding mower this summer. Chainsaw next? Thanks for the review.

I'd like to see how it cuts green (ie, not dead) wood...

Holy cow that is a huge bar for an electric.

The Greenworks commercial line has one up to a 20" bar (and ~60cc gas equivalent power).

Is this the GS181? It's useful to put the model numbers in the description or video title for people looking for it that way.

Hey Ben, I put the model number in the video description (GCS80421) and a link to the Amazon product page

Oh, I see it says GCS80421 in your Amazon link, altho apparently it could also be CS80L03 or GCS80450 depending on how its bundled, the saw itself seems to have identical specs to the well-known GS181.

Valid point. I must say I cant keep up with all the model numbers and differences! Especially considering bundles. I'll add the saw model number.

Price wise that will be way more expensive, and with the big battery heavier. I challenge using that to fell and cut up a 50 foot tall pignut hickory
