Hello. I have had an implant for 10 years. I bought the N7 3 years ago and it just broke. I'm doing my best to see if I can acquire the N8. Right now I am 100% deaf. Take care and maintain. It is incredible to be able to hear with the implant.
I bet it was huge upgrade to switch 6 to 7 atleast the direct streaming capablities is game changer. I'm CI user from late 2021 and I'm wait for second CI, hoping for arrival of N8
It really was! I had my N6s for seven years and they were practically falling apart. The microphone on the N7s is so much better as well as the battery life. And that is so neat! I can't imagine how great the N8 will be for you!
Hello! There is a significant difference between the two for sure. I had the Nucleus 6s before the 7s and noticed a huge change in the microphone quality as well as awesome features (such as the bluetooth) that I have grown to love. The 7s are quite a bit smaller than the 6s, which were quite a bit smaller than the Freedoms. One of the reasons we decided to get the 7s, other than the fact that the 6s were falling apart, was that the 6s are going to become obsolete in a couple of months. I would definitely advise that you get them! :D
They also have Bluetooth capabilities, you can connect your implants to a compatible iPhone or android and listen to music or phone calls without a need for earphones or headphones.
@@Hamad_IRAQ They are expensive, the kanso was around $5,000 AUS but my insurance Medicare private covered the costs, every three years I get a new upgrade and never had to pay a thing. Also, Australian cochlear recipients never have to pay for parts, we have an additional insurance that costs $20 a year and it covers all parts like batteries and microphone covers, including accessories so anything I need to order is free. The freedom, as far as I am aware, does not make any parts for them anymore. Once your cochlear breaks down and it is definitely unusable, I do recommend upgrading to the very latest cochlear. And stock up on parts, alot if you can once cochlear drops support. A new behind the ear cochlear (nucleus 9) just came out, so the support for the freedom will definitely drop. See if you can find any cover support, it is incredibly helpful.

I’ve had implants since I was 3 and every year its always another huge bag lol. And when I went bilateral it became two huge bags! XD Have you heard of the kanso? I have switched to the Kanso 2 and its no longer on the ear, just on the head. No more weight on the ears, and if you wear your hair down no one can tell you have anything lol.
For real though! The bags keep getting bigger 🤣 and yes, I was actually contemplating whether or not to get the Kanso or the Nucleas 7. I decided on the Nucleas 7 because when my surgery was done, the magnet was put pretty close to the surface of my skin, so strong magnets cause sores on my head. I figured that the Kanso may cause constant sores and that the N7 would be the best fit for me!
@@rhyan5188 I switched from a nucleus to a kanso, the magnet difference under the skin doesn't matter because you can change the strength of the processors magnet, so if it's too strong, just change it to a lighter one. Then it'll be comfortable.

Hello! I need batteries and accessories for the N7 my daughter has this processor. We live in the Dominican Republic, here the insurance does not cover anything related to the implant and we must pay for everything and it is expensive. If someone wants to donate some accessories and batteries, we are willing to pay the shipping.
