My favourite of all the original series. I liked the fact that it took place in city. Made it feel more real and chaotic to me. I obviously love the second one, but this will always be the one for me.
It was the first game that fully scared the shit out of me as a kid. I;m so pissed off they phoned the remake in. They built me up and knocked me down after the first remake.... I want HD remasters of both RE2 & RE3.
I bwliwve thw best you can do is get a hold of Gamecube ports and use texture pack for emulation. There are some videos about it. I don't think that Capcom will ever remaster the games since there arw remakes
Thanks for the response. I think one day we may get some remasters when all this remake garbage has overstayed it;s welcome, they remastered the first one so I don't see why they wouldnt remaster the other 2 if people pester them enoug lol. I also hear that ported versions on the pc do have texture packs so i may try that out at some point. I enjoyed the video, thanks man.@@kristijan893
@@kristijan893 RE 3 personally to me raised the bar very high after 2.. It outshines 2 in every gameplay mechanic aspect.. The only thing 2 has on 3 is having 4 scenarios.. Fantastic game, Jill looked great, the ammunition in hard mode gave you choices, and Mercenaries was a fantastic amount of fun. Infinite minigun! Infinite rocket launcher! Wonderful! I also liked the pile of cars with a bus on top of it, corpses everywhere. On examining it? "Nothing special".
Yeah, you have a big graveyard of vehicles and it's like.."oh, nothing to see here" hahaha :D Infinite ammo on these unlocked weapons makes you wanna go for another round to see how fast can you make Swiss cheese out of Nemesis:D
I lost my mind when the first RE3 released on PS1. I was a fan ever since I played the first after it came out and then 2 blew me away. But 3, it was on a whole other level.
OG PS1 and RE player here. RE3 is the peak of the PS1 survival horror games. It gave better mechanics, multiple story routes for replayability and extra content to unlock. Side note the new handgun and shotgun from putting down Nemesis doesn't make the older guns obsolete. You can make enhanced ammo fairly early on that do more damage than their "replacements". Also Operation Mad Jackal is the first and GOAT of the mercenaries game mode. Both RE2 and CV ports after that called it Extreme Battle Mode which is what it should've been called in RE4 and subsequent games. Anyway, this was a fun video to watch and i highly suggest all new RE players try out the original REs 1-3
I had 80 grenades when I completed the game. Can't complain and the nemesis was a great idea, especially with the choices and scenes being alerted by how long you wait
Hey man, I love me some RE3 just like you but underrated is not a word I would use to describe it. 8.8 on Gamespot, 8 on IGN, both of which are the PS1 versions and this is back when game review sites meant something. I remember when it dropped and everyone I knew thought it was awesome. Do people shit on it now or something?
I wouldn't say people shit on the game. I just don't think its popular enough amongst contemporary public eye. It's very underrated if being compared to 2 or 4. Which is a shame in my book
@@kristijan893 AH! Underappreciated in the modern era and yes, I 100% agree with you there. Not only do I agree with you, now that we talk I have come to realize I fall in to that camp as well. So congratulations, you have encouraged me to fire it back up again because it has been well over a decade (close to two) since I have last played through it. It is a damn fine game and a fitting end to the PS1 RE trilogy. Great vid!
My 1st RE I ever bought was RE4 2005 at launch on the GameCube. But I have since revisited the original PS1 Trilogy thanks to the digital copies on PS3. Used to think RE2 1998 was my favorite, but RE3 1999 ended up being my favorite of the Trilogy. Nemesis alone is the best BOW monster of the franchise. Shame Capcom be Crapcom and completely butchered the RE3 2020 "remake." They did Nemesis so dirty it hurts. Too bad we never got a director's cut and Capcom wasted resources on Resistance, a multiplayer only game that died fast too. Btw, have you ever played Covert Ops Nuclear Dawn/Chase The Express for PS1? Liked this one, think RE meets a 1990s action film. In Cold Blood might be worth a look too.
So you actually played Biohazard the last escape, then :D well, you probably had a hard time understanding the story, but the game itself shouldn't be hard
@@kristijan893 Yes, Biohazard. The cutscenes were in English and were enough to sort of understand the story. The game was not that hard, yes. But I had difficulty understanding Tomb Raider 3, my next game . My copy did not have speech so it was a lot of head nodding and some crazy people. RE 3 is worthy Resident Evil game. I am glad that they made it.

RE 3 is better than RE 2.. In everyway..
No xx
That's a bold statement. I like them both pretty much equally

Capcom needs to give us a Resident Evil HD Classic Collection already we are sick of waiting.

I guess it takes a time. Maybe within several years I'll be, who knows? Hehehe. thank you for the comment like that! Makes me blush and happy :D
I loved the boutique! Remaster is not a patch on this game. I need to go back and replay it.
