It`s good to know that there are responsible, good truck-drivers out there that respect the slippery roads and avoid taking chances. I live in Norway and meet these trucks all the time. Keep on trucking!
Obviosuly we feel bad for the guys stuck. But it must feel kinda good to casually pass all the stuck cars and trucks with such ease. Great truck and driver.
I think they haven't changed the tires yet. In South Norway, you have to change tires before November 1st. In North Norway before October 15th. The new truck comes with brand-new winter tires 😉👋
I remember living in Norway, and watching snow fall in May, and going back to Croatia in June for sailing season, so from snowing in 0C to 26C on the sea in just couple of days 😁. Now I'm on my last charter week, it's about 25-26C, and this video pops up of first snow in Norway, crazy difference huh? 😂 Either way, can't wait to be back in Norway 😁
im a bus driver from sauda and live on the western coast. We drive volvo busses here and we have been struggling in this bad weather. drive safe and stay cool. and keep making good videos
29:10 The speed limit sign here is quite a hazard. If you keep going with 60 km/h here (since no warning about the roundabout) you'll be guaranteed to roll over. It's a surprise to see such a low lewel mistake on Norway roads.
Yes, I'm testing a new one. In that movie, this truck has about 2000km. And yes, the is so margin. After this movie I was testing other settings in Volvo Dynamic Steering and it helped a little. But still, I'm thinking service has to change something during first visit
Man ur driving skill are amazing , but man 60+ kmh in road like this with truck is slow? :D i love driving fast , and i mean fast ( really fast ) but a car , but when i watch ur video i think i will drive there this truck like 15-30 max :D and beautiful winter man
I didn't indicate if the roundabout was empty or if few times someone did this to me (yes, I know it's stupid, but Norwegians are doing it all the time 🥴)
Didn t get how traction you have? After the stop where you have been warned you had problem to start (yellow light on the right) after you changed somethinghs...what?
You know I've been watching the videos for awhile now, and what I REALLY want to know, is in a region that has a similar climate to Canada(hot summers, cold/snowy winters) how the hell do they keep the roads so smooth and in good condition vs ours when even 1 year later they are cracked, destroyed, full of potholes. They never last more than 1 year, maybe 2. What is Canada doing wrong here.....
Before I started working in Norway I was working as a truck driver in a refinery in Poland. And countries like Sweden always take from us the best(and most expensive) bitumen. I think Norway do this same. But the roads here are renovated quite often. Maybe not every year but at least once every 3 years
@@KG_Norway_Truck_Driver Ah. That would probably be it then. We have over 1 million km of roads to maintain so they probably use the cheapest stuff possible, and we renovate our roads(at least in my city) every 15-20 years or so...

Do you brake before the turn and accelerate after to keep balance and traction ? Also do you mainly brake with retarder or brake pedal in those conditions ?
Hello. Yes, I'm braking before turns. And second question- in this Volvo 8x4 I can brake with the engine brake with no worries because 2 axles are breaking. In 4x2 I will be really careful with it
@@KG_Norway_Truck_Driver Thanks for the answer, did not realise that they needed a “ running in period “, seems a little odd, but I guess it is what it is, I know that there is a recommendation that one should carefully run tyres in at a moderate speed for about 100 miles, to allow the stresses within the tyre to equalise.
@victorhodgson8767 Winter tires are very soft, much higher and behave badly at the beginning. Sometimes you can think that you are sliding 🥴 That's why I like to have them one- two weeks before snowfall

Most of the people. It was 06.10 and in this part of Norway, you need winter tires from 01.10. In northern parts, it's from 15.10
