I think it might be a reflection off of the lense, but if you check out one of my other vids you'll see one stepped leader jump off of the sidewalk in front of me, and another vid has a stepped leader jump from between two buildings across the lot from my place. Thanks for the kudos!!
This one caught me off-guard too. My camera's batteries were drained from a day at the Stampede, so... I got no lightning videos from this one. :-(
