She's sort of right about one thing: if every man in the US woke up tomorrow and universally decided women don't get to have rights anymore, there would be nothing, and I mean *_NOTHING,_* they could do about it. Frankly, they should be grateful men are so gracious and care so much for women to feel safe that we DON'T treat them that way. And, I agree it would be wrong for men to do that...but c'mon. How about even a LITTLE recognition?
Thank you for making this. I can imagine it is a heavy burden. We will only get closer when prepared to let Love be placed above all else to rule, and as the thing we all fight to uphold ultimately. So how do we obey the law of love when it comes to racism . Even unto the point of being willing/prepared to (and actually having to go through ) experience the suffering of someone foreign to us, someone we have shallow thoughts towards, prejudice and even racist thoughts towards. Are we prepared?
If we do not choose to live a life of faith and selfless belief in one another our “ society” could be doomed to continue to “function” from prejudice disbelief unforgiveness unmercifulness and racism. Unless we begin to selflessly believe and act like we believe in others as we would want others to believe in us.
I imagine people that take grifters like DiAngelo seriously watch her and her kind of content with their pants down. The way these people desperately want to be victims is disgusting.
I gotta admit, very good and informative breakdown. She must be a student of Frances Cress Welsing or Neely Fuller Jr.
Black people suffer from the same malady. We say the same things and center whiteness...definitely systematic. She should probably use Eurocentrism or Anglocentrism instead of racism.

Reflection+action: Brazilian society lives in agony for not doing the #constant and #continuous #exercise of #social #equity to achieve #equality and maintain #balance. I feel very sad and ashamed, as a Brazilian in relation to the world, because so many people suffered for this society to exist, however the people who generationally forced this existence do not honor, those who were forced generationally to exist this society, making the inclusion in every sense and expanding the civilizing tools of opportunities and possibilities of quality of life in every sense in society, to those who are generationally excluded. 21st century and it was not worth it. The territory is a waste and the history of those who were forced to exclusion was wasted. A society that does not do generational reflection exercises of errors and seeks to evolve by correcting historical generational social errors, does not evolve and proves that it does not deserve to exist. Because we cannot exist in a civilizing way having the tools to be part of the solution and continue to exist to be part of the problem. And this is not the fault of those who are excluded and those who do not ascend generationally, but rather the fault of those who are included, who promote divisions such as racism, xenophobia, sexism and LGBTphobia, and who ascend or have ascended or were born in ascendancy and social inclusion and who, in their social position or function, maintain the generational pact of social exclusion, of the scarcity of social tools, scarcity of social opportunities and scarcity of social ascension, preventing the abundance of individual and collective qualities of life. And yes, it is up to those who are in a comfortable position of quality of life to act in this sense. To generate a culture of concrete movements of successes of permanent and positive inclusion. Because those who are in the opposite position have greater difficulty in envisioning paths. And they normally guide themselves by those who are included and ascendant. This #constant individual and collective daily #exercise promotes social horizontality and social harmony. And peace and social love. Why can’t anyone understand that by embracing a Republican Form of Government all this petty divisiveness disappears like magic! Our factions are relegated to their footprint in our society and they cannot spread their influence and ideology outside the small pockets where they exist.

A republic, by which I mean a government in which the scheme of representation takes place, opens a different prospect, and promises the cure for which we are seeking. Let us examine the points in which it varies from pure democracy, and we shall comprehend both the nature of the cure and the efficacy which it must derive from the Union.
The two great points of difference between a democracy and a republic are: first, the delegation of the government, in the latter, to a small number of citizens elected by the rest; secondly, the greater number of citizens, and greater sphere of country, over which the latter may be extended.]
