@@motorcyclerewind Forget what year, but my chopped 350 was a Scrambler that was really cool after I fixed it up. The motor was seized so I used an included 305cc parallel twin that was also included in the deal. Those Scramblers were cool.

Thanks for the video! 😊 Personally I do not think this bike suits the chopper style. But of course choose the style you like.😊 I have CB500 from -76 (European model) that I probably will choose a scrambler type of look.

Oh, what an amazing find! I'd definitely like to see it returned at least close to stock! If you were doing a raffle sort of thing as a give-away (donating proceeds instead of the bike -- though I absolutely understand the logistical nightmare that would be, and no I'm not making the suggestion), I'd have to admit to being extremely interested in purchasing a chance for it.
Thanks. We are working out the logistics to be able to sell raffle tickets 🎟️ for a chance to win the CB550. Thanks for watching. We be sharing the details asap.

@@motorcyclerewindWhy hack up a classic motorcycle? I collect and restore old CB radios and there's nothing worse than finding a rare one that's had holes drilled in it for mods.
I've recently picked up a 74 in the same color. Would love to swap out your side covers for the black repos that came on it before you do a repaint. Also have a new repo front master cylinder/handle to toss in.
So if it was original what do you think a good price for the raffle ticket would be. I don’t know much about this stuff trying to help the family raise money to honor their son. Any help appreciated.
😂 I am normally a purist as one can tell by looking at the 16 motorcycles I currently own. But I also like to honor the people that owned them before. When it was done in the period. I once had a 1954 Zundapp that the original owner(only before me) turned into a dirt bike. Paint scallops on the tank hand pinstriped. Not the best but it was perfect. Just like this 550 it was on the road(legally) for 5 years in that time this is what it became. So I thinks it’s pretty cool. The original owner is still alive and we are trying to get a sit down with him. If that happens it is definitely going to be a chopper. Thanks for watching.

Please put her back to stock. These bikes were awesome just the way they were from the factory. The idea for the paint is fine, but those forks and bars have got to go.
+50 on no to the chopper idea. The tank paint looks good enough to clean up and leave it original. Side cover repaint if necessary. Doesn't have to be original but a Honda chopper is a hard no.

Those handlebars are awful. I'm not sure about the chopper vibe, but I'm sure it'll turn out great no matter what. I've just never loved the idea of making a 4 cylinder into a chopper. If you don't go the chopper route, I have some euro spec (low) bars for that bike. Cut for wires already.
