I have a question for anyone that ever looks at this anymore. On Umi-bozu why would you do living weapon at the end, kato does fire damage and a descent amount, i would have thought it may be fast on the last part instead of waiting for a shot with the mask. You don't take damage so you can just go in hammering. Just wondering. I did it by mistake, i was using the masks and it was doing good, then he went defensive and i couldn't get in, then I accidentally hit living weapon and went in and finished him off. pretty fast also.

There's many thinks With this "Purple Things" it's called onmyo magic there's a lot example increase your defense increase your damage with your bare fist and slow down enemies movement speed and attacks and more you could find it on Learning Skills and go to the far right and you'll see onmyo magic
Omyo magic. Learn omyo magic from the skill tree and equip it at the shrine. There is a particular spell that pretty much cheese every boss in existance except maybe 2.
Man I just died on ninja level 10 times cause they patched the door you rotate where he said I'm just going to YOLO this part... I could not even make it to a waypoint let alone past that ninja yokai.
does anybody know how to get the first legendary armour? i began with nioh a week ago an i killed the "angry guy" today, but dont have any item that is legendary, well, i think u get that later but i would like to know where :D thanks for the reply! ^^

He doesn't have a weakness to any element but it does increase your damage a little. I guess that's why he used it. Also, he probably chose water because a boss that comes later, Nue, is weak to water.
That weird B&W effect that comes up all the time looks really bad. It's disorienting and makes the game look like a cartoon or somethin. Also, the game looks very easy to get lost in. Not the intuitive level design of the Souls games, which this is constantly compared to. This looks more like Onimusha mixed with DMC.
I like Nioh way more than Souls. Nioh combat is just amazing with all the skills and magic you can learn. To me its Bloodborne > Nioh >>> Souls. Soulsborne does win in level design though, prettier to look at. Source: I platinumed all the games.
