Such a rich and full sound! Not too dry, but also not too drenched in reverb. It all hits *just* the right spots for me. I'm looking forward to what else you put out. Even more excited to potentially buy one after saving up! Also it's an honor being your 10th sub. Enjoy! 🧡 PS: John absolutely did this sample set the justice it deserves!
Hi John, Wonderful performance! It certainly suits Blackburn's massive acoustic. I'm slightly curious about the specifications of the computer you're using to run that sample set. I have a PC with a 4-core processor and 64 gigabytes of RAM, and I had a ton of trouble getting the set to play without the noises Hauptwerk makes when it's running out of processing power. In your video, I see a windows 7 sticker on your PC, which would normally indicate that it's not an overly powerful machine.
Hi Michael, many thanks for that - and sorry you had issues with the sample set! My computer only has 32GB RAM but I do have to load it without the stops on the extended version. It would be worth increasing the buffer size when loaded, which would be less demanding on the CPU then - or even setting the sound to 48 Khz rather than 96.
@@JohnHoskingGreatOrganSounds Thanks for the advice! I thought I had Hauptwerk optimized as much as I could. I'll have to experiment more with it. I'm so glad I have hope to use this sample set again.
Superb John. Could you provide a quick description of your hardware. Console, Pedalboard, (how you acquired them, if thats not too cheaky. Headphones, mixing software for sound and video. Thanks Brian
Many thanks, Brian! The console (now defunct and awaiting replacement) was originally a 3 manual Content D1700 with a fourth Fatar manual added by Graham Eccles. I'm not sure of the headphone brand - they came second hand with the Content 20 years ago! Video was recorded using an iPhone and a GoPro, with the audio from Hauptwerk's internal recorder. All was mixed together in Video Pad.
awesome!!!
Now that is SUPERB!! My office is shaking and rattling! If there is a more powerful sample set, I am not aware of it.
Many thanks - glad you enjoyed it!

@@llannerchorgans Any time! Have a great rest of your week
Amazing! This sample set is one of the best sample sets in Hauptwerk! Hopefully you might sample the organ of Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral.
Many thanks - we would rather like to add the Liverpool organ to our library too!
