The original The Hitcher with Rutger Hauer and C. Thomas Howell is one of my faves and doesn’t get mentioned enough. Franchise is a tough one but I’m going to say Wrong Turn. Even though they get progressively worse with each sequel, it’s worth it just to see the first one.
I just rewatched the hitcher last night and my god that’s just a great movie. It’s a combination of so many different genres. And it has everything. Good acting, Cinematography and score.
Night of the Comet is one I've always liked that I think is pretty underrated.
That’s one I haven’t seen actually and have heard how good it is. It’s god a 4K I need to grab.
Most under rated horror franchise is Hammer Frankenstein 6 movie series. Most underrated horror film is WILLARD (1972)
Ahhhh Willard. Need to rewatch that.
I feel Army of Darkness is underrated given how its less gory and has a more lonney tunes feel especially the film original rating of a PG13 rating. Bruce once again is badass and hilarious as Ashly Williams and its action is amazing especially once the ending comes in
I agree! Army of darkness should be talked about more. It’s cheap looking on purpose and I love that about the movie. It’s always a blast to watch.
An underrated horror movie is the Escape Room series. I thought they were fun!
The not bad at all!
Hostel is my favorite underrated film
Its Gorfest of blood and guts everywhere and I love it
That’s a good choice!! It’s an enjoyable one for sure.
The Frighteners
Wow I just bought the Blu-ray recently and the movie is hilarious..the performance by Michael J Fox, the score and horror elements are great. It's a danm good film especially the directors cut and bonus material included a lot
That’s a great movie! I’ve always felt like it doesn’t get enough love. The 4K for it is one of my favourites actually!
An underrated horror movie is definitely Frailty. The twist at the end is great. I would also say Trick r' Treat doesn't get the recognition it deserves as an awesome horror movie. Sam is a great horror demon. Hellraiser doesn't get the recognition it deserves as a good franchise. I know the movies went down after the 4th one. Pinhead is never mentioned in the same breath as Michael, Jason & Freddy. He would banish them all to hell ...
Both great choices. Frailty and Trick r treat definitely deserve more love. Trick r treat has been getting noticed lately thankfully and we’re getting the new 4K. I like the hellraiser movies. The first two though I just feel are so far ahead of the rest.
I never saw the original strangers or have heard about it until recently. I engoy Chapter 1 but I didnt know the source material.
I'd say an underrated horror movie is Ghostbusters 2. I don't think it gets enough credit. I feel like it's spookier than the first at times
I think you would like the first two movies a lot. especially if you liked chapter 1! Ghostbusters 2 has always deserved more love!
Well mate can I count the mortal Kombat films as underrated horror movies
I feel the 1995 is a b-movie feel and the 2021 is just plain out violent, bloody and one hell of a ride especially it's performances and visuals and the musical score and the technical syndrome remix 10/10!
Annihilation we don't like to talk about
I really like the 95 one but thought the 2021 one was really good and deserved more love.
The strangers prey at night
I feel its an underrated of the films especially with an family facing off the strangers and its kills are amazing especially the eclipse of the nigbt sequence as a whole
Its cast and muisc of the 80s
Definitely an underrated horror film
I a 100% agree. I think it actually was a disappointing film to most people because it wasn’t like the original. But as its own film it’s really good. I love that music!
I love the Strangers because it felt like something that could happen & felt really scary. But then the sequel came out which wasn't as good as the first & then the shitty Chapter 1 came out, which made my head hurt due to how stupid these people were with their decisions.
Yeah Chapter 1 was awful Ans I tried to go in with an open mind. The second one I like. It’s no where near the original but still enjoyable and if you look at it as an 80s horror movie I think it works better
Orioles fan!
Sorry about the loss. I’m a mets fan so i’m feeling good lol
Magic starring Anthony Hopkins
good choice!!
The first two Strangers are excellent movies but chapter 1 we don't talk about
It doesn’t deserve to be talked about lol
@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia agreed it basically the first film but it's just stupidly a student film and not gory just plain out tame as hell
Krampus
Hilarious Film especially same director from Trick R Treat
It’s a great one that doesn’t get talked about enough.
I think Ghostbusters Answer the Call was underrated and got too much anger. If there's a problem with it it's with reboots and not women because they all did a good job. But with all of these reboots we come in with in with a preexisting fondness for the original so there really isn't any way to win. If you do it the same you're unoriginal and if you change it people don't like that you made changes. If people went into it thinking what if Paul Fieg made a Ghostbusters movie they'd enjoy it more.
That movie isn’t as bad as people made it out to be. I didn’t love it personally but I went in wanting to love it. People had a preconceived notion about that movie before they even saw it. The things just went to far after that. The movie was trying and didn’t come off like it was all about the money.
The Tarot film I enjoyed its not perfect but its okay at best
I don't know much underrated horror movies i love a lot
I should still check that one out. I’ve been meaning too
Not a fan of horror but I think Shutter Island 2010 is underrated my mom made me go see it lol
lolll I respect that! The genre isn’t for everyone. Shutter Island is one I enjoy.
Shutter Island is awesome. I do love the horror genre though. Some of the best films of all time are horror films in my opinion such as The Exorcist, The Thing, The Shining, and Jaws.
Frailty.
love that movie!!
