- This is the how to video if you want to repair the Drive walker #R726BL using bicycle parts. The original part # is (9501H72607L) for left brake and(9509H72607R) for the right. These parts go out of date or are temporarily unavailable. A customer's mom bought a walker from a medical store and used it for a year. The brake quit working so they went back to the store were the medical supply told them that they had to buy a new walker for about $160. I don't know about you but I went online and I saw them for between $67 and $90. The customer came to us and wanted it the same day. I told them the price would be $30 to fix it. They had us fix the walker.
Thanks for taking time to show how to fix something for seniors, I will definitely try to fix mom's pretty good shape wheelchair before replacing it
No problem.👍
I have to repair a walker like this and it seemed like for the most part its bike brake cable and some generic parts. This video helps me pinpoint what i need. Ty
Nice repair and this bike shop just served a very useful purpose for maintenance on this type of disability equipment.
Thanks👍
I've got chronic pain, and found this model of rollator at the thrift store for 20 bucks with one busted brake. Now i can fix it and its saving me hundreds! Thanks so much for being knowledgeable and easy to follow. Now i know what to do and more importantly, why to do it a certain way (not everyone does that and it sucks). 10/10!
Glad I could help.👍
Awesome video help for repairing my wife’s rollator. Thanks!
Thank you. I'm glad it helped.👍
Very good video. It not only helps in repairing/adjusting my Rollator but also gives me insights on adjusting my grandchildren’s bicycle hand brakes.
Very helpful video. Thank you for posting.
Sehr gut von einem wirklichen Fachmann erklärt. Vielen Dank !
Thank you! It looks like more than I can take on at the moment (tools, grease, etc.), but it seems like there is such a need for this. Well explained!
Well done Jason! Your a good person
Thanks.👍
Thank you for mentioning the silicon sleeve in the Clark cable parts.
No problem.
This video helped a bunch!
Glad it helped.👍
I place parts on wide piece of strong tape, such as packing tape, to prevent parts from rolling away, or roll up parts in the tape and attach to frame or seat of item being repaired.
Nice job. Great video. Where can I get the parts that you used ? Thanks
You can get all the parts from a bike shop except maybe the rivet. You can get the rivet from a hardware store. Goodluck.👍
Thanks man...
Real good job
Thank you.👍
Thank you for this help!
You're welcome!
Nice 🙂👍
Sorry. Nothing exciting today. Thanks.
Is there a spring in the handle?
The whole tool flexes except the needle pointing to how much torque your at. It's an old style torque wrench.👍
I could of sword you were the guy from "cars and cameras" go cart youtube channel 😮
That's my brother.👍
@@alloutbikes you gonna piss in boot and tell me it's rain? 😂 no way! Haha
I came to the comments to see if anyone had already asked this!
The walker I have is a old molder ok walker Mrs Jackson
Do you by chance have a avid bb5 brake set to do a calibration vid on my brakes always either have grab or no grab at all PLS help
No problem. That may be a good video to do. Keep an eye out for it.
That's the sort of thing I'd do for a pensioner or disabled person for the price of the parts, no labour charge. Have you seen the prices companies charge for disability spares? It's crazy!
They are expensive.🖖
How much do you charge to do this repair?
I charged $30 for parts and labor. The proper cable was available but they wanted it that day.
Where can I order the proper cables
your Philips screw driver resembles a Standard screwdriver..
It's a six in one screwdriver. I love those things.👍
@@alloutbikes I'm not going to explain it to you.
@@alloutbikes ok I changed my mind lol.. When it is set to a Standard bit, It is then a Standard screwdriver. If it is set to a say "Phillips" It is then a Phillip's Screwdriver.
@@hemi1430You have a lot of free time on your hands
@@tif321dc Did you come up with that on your own? Or is it just a over said statement that people use when they can't come up with something intelligent or creative of their own to say? Don't try to challenge anyone because it's clear you cannot bring something you created to the table.
Hit the like Button!
👍
How much do it cost To get it fix give you address so I can bring it to you Mrs Jackson 🙏
No wonder it failed they used a derailleur cable instead of brake cable!!
I think they do it just so it fails. It's all about the money. Thanks for watching👍
