- Parking barnacles have been popping up all over Oahu. An alternative to a parking boot, these devices apprehend illegal parking violators across the island.

What if you just didn't worry about where people are parking (unless they're blocking your driveway or something, which doesn't seem to be the case here)?
Seems like mobile locksmiths could quickly figure out how to disable these devices
and remove them for less. They could also get rid of them!

I don't like the idea of having to return it. That's still a nuisance also this doesn't fix the problem of illegal parking. You may have just replaced your boulder with an abandoned car.

seems like the only person making money is the person running the Barnacle business. the home/business owner pays him to barnacle cars and the owner of the car pays to have the barnacle removed.
