@@rajibmoitra2837 Shahd Parvez, Bhuddhadttya, Nladri kumar , Ashraf Shareef , Mehtab Niazi are all excellent. Saying that Ustad Rais Khan or Ustad Vlayat Khan are " the only " is rubbish.

@@shouqie844 May be rubbish to you but vice versa. However anybody is free to disagree. Each is entitled to his belief Out of the artists you have named I personallly have the good fortune of knowing Pt. Budhaditya Mukherjee. In fact Budhaditya ji s residence in Kolkata is just very near to my house. Budhadityaji himself demonstrated to me the difference between Vilayat and others by displaying the right hand techniques of Vilayat and said clearly till date Vilayat Khan remains technically most sound. Also the other artists you have named Shahd Parvez, Niladri Kumar ,including Purbayan Chatterjee consider Vilayat Khan as the Role model for all sitarists which they have said many times.
