This is original sitar jawari which ustad abdul halim jaffer used to play even ustad vilayat khan sahib played in his early days only after listening to ustad bade gulam ali khan and ustad amir khan sahib they evolved it i am not the big dady of indian classical music but this my bank blance of music

Really enjoyed the vistar, gamaks and layakari.

Raga Bhankar is rarely heard and Ut Vilayet Khan used to play it in concert. I presume,though not sure as a mere listener, this Raga resembles more to Morning Raga Bhatiyer .

Ustad ji's greatness was that he could do things in Sitar which other artists would take eternity to understand how he did it. If there was one Sitar player who had complete mastery on Sitar then it was Rais Khan saab. The other one was Ustad Halim Jaffer khan.
