Smart move on the metal feeder. I've had one for 18 months until the bears ripped it apart. But I built a new one. I use a mailbox turned on the side, cut out a small opening and created a feeding trough. Mount the mailbox to some pressure treated wood. Good shooting. Been a subscriber for a while
I’m lucky I don’t have bears ripping it apart 😂 metal feeder is definitely the way to go and works out cheaper as other animals can’t steal everything you put in there. Glad to hear you’ve been a subscriber for a while.

Well done mate. I see you had a really busy morning with the airarms and the squirrels 👌 that was a really good quality video mate. Keep the good work...👌🤘👍🎯🐿
That air arms looks nice with the GRS stock. I have a GRS stock on me FX crown mk2 love it . I had a air arms s510 R .22 nice gun but on having a the chance to shoot a FX crown found it lighter to hold so I chopped the air arms in for the crown. Wish I could of kept them both but they are both high end air guns and it was just to costly to have them both . Nice shooting I enjoy watching and learning from your videos keep them coming 👍
Glad to know you enjoy watching and learning from my videos. It would have been nice if you could keep both those rifles, always good to have more than 1 nice rifle.
I like the feeder, homework at work? Squirrel are buggers for chewing up feeders, l have 3 out and periodically get one in for repair, usually in August when it goes quiet. All the best, Alex norfolk.
I got fed up with having to continuously repair my wooden feeders and a lot of other birds taking all the peanuts (peanuts are so expensive), so I decided to make a fully aluminium feeder with a lid so they couldn't chew it and to prevent all the peanuts going down so quick. Should last year's hopefully.
Way to pile them up young man. Can't wait till our season opens up my trigger finger is starting to itch a bit I'm eager to let my pellet gun go to work our season doesn't start till late August really enjoyed your video keep up the great work.
Nice shooting as always. Those squirrels look well fed and healthy. I find they never appear really early, about 7.30 ish. If it’s cold they don’t appear until later or when the sun gets on the wood.
@@lancsvermincontrol no but we had a great private balcony looking out onto woodland, I said to the wife I should have brought the FX 😜 she didn't see the funny side

Thank you Tirador. This is what I use www.bushwear.co.uk/products/the-bush-chair-hide I sit inside with a narrow tripod for my camera on the left and a tripod on the right for my rifle.
I’ve tried several baits for squirrels from maize, split corn and even bird seed but unfortunately my squirrels always throw everything on the floor to find the peanuts. Peanuts are the most expensive but they draw squirrels in the best. They can smell it a mile away, only takes them a day to find.
Great video! I've been taking care of a neighborhood infestation. My bird feeder does double duty as "the squirrel feeder". These guys have done some damage to several nearby houses this year, including mine. But, they are seldom seen now, at least on our street, though they will probably soon have some more babies. I see now that I have way more power than needed, particularly if sticking to head shots. I started with a 22 Ruger/Umarex Impact Max Elite, at maybe 17 ft/lb. Now I have an Umarex Origin 22 at around 30 ft/lb, 27 at least. My usual range is 16 yd(mostly head shots), my farthest kill is 28. I was curious what is your range from your feeder? Any way: great job, and very educational and fun video!
Thanks Bill, I usually set my hide up from the feeder between 15-20 yards and use a sub 12 air rifle. That’s all the power you need when taking headshots. The squirrels don’t see you from that distance as long as you’re in your hide and keep movement to a minimum. I actually make big movements when they turn the head away and see my opportunity.
I use this www.wildviewcameras.co.uk/product/spypoint-link-micro-LTE It can't record video but it takes photos and sends them to your phone when movement is detected. It doesn't require a sim card. You get 100 free photos a month but if you want more then you can sign up for a monthly fee (optional).
It is a N8Vision saddle clamp and yes I would recommend it. It is a cheaper alternative to the more expensive ones. There is a link in the description.
Which pellet? Just bought this gun as my first PCP in 177. Amazing accuracy. Had a 22 airsporter since 1986 previously that was hit and more miss with me at the helm.
Nice bit of shooting Lancs. Good solid squirrel feeder too. Thinking the peanut trap door lid could be made so it doesn’t close completely with a half inch gap so the squirrels can see the peanuts and lifted up by them to get a nut. The lid can also be a slightly larger size it you’re worried about rain getting in. Just an idea mate watching whats happing. Keep the videos coming Lancs. Cheers from Perth WA 👍🦘🇦🇺
Thanks. The squirrels will always figure out how to find a way in. Just some hadn’t realised how to use the door but if they know there are peanuts in there, they’ll find a way.
That should fill your freezer nicely maybe even enough fur to warm your hands, tan it up and fill your gloves. Nice shooting. It still amazes me that your shots don't damage your feeder. Every time I watch one of your video I get a little more educated on patients. I like educate people on how if they believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life! People are like computers; we all have a default mode. That is we are all sinners, headed toward hell. GOD's Word declares, For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God....Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the LORD shall be saved.
I use the head of a squirrel to slow my pellet down and then the thickness of the double plated aluminium to stop it even further so as not to damage the feeder as easily. Most of the time the squirrels damage the feeder than any pellet.
Before making a comment such as this, maybe ask yourself why is this on TH-cam. If it was illegal it would not be allowed. Remember, facts over emotion. "Grey squirrels can cause serious problems for foresters, native wildlife and gamekeepers. The bark stripping from tree trunks during the months of May and June damages stands of timber and natural woodland. In spring, the taking of eggs and young chicks can be devastating for songbird and ground-nesting bird populations. Damage to hoppers, feed bins and water pipes can cause serious and costly shoot management problems. The grey squirrel is also a significant factor in the decline of the native red squirrel population in the UK. Greys can carry the squirrel pox virus. And although they are relatively unaffected themselves, the disease causes considerable suffering and death to the red squirrel - which is already severely threatened and even extinct in many parts of the UK."

Those red pads on the feeder look like 3m scotch bright pads? Good job on the feeder.
Certainly are scotch brite pads. Just a bit of padding for the squirrels instead of a slippery, cold aluminium surface.
