I had a surprise after ordering POCKET CUE. The main parts are a horizontal rack, a vertical frame, and the plastic black hood. On my unit (ordered May 20, arrived May 24), the VERTICAL FRAME (and therefore HOOD) wobbled back and forth a half inch, (tipping forward like a wilting plant), even though the screws were tight. Prompter People told me this was a known defect and would replace it ASAP. They answered my support email in about 2 minutes. This is good customer service, but it came in a large box pre-assembled and the wobble/defect was obvious instantly, so it was too bad the assembler didn't see it.
Yeah I noticed it on mine as well, I guess it's something they must have caught after a batch or a few batches were already made. But glad to hear that customer service was helpful and got you sorted out because that's definitely one of the strong points of having a company like Prompter People behind the product.
It was great. Thank. But I have two questions. Does both stand work for iPhone and camera? Secondly, at the end of the video, which app did you use and how did you connect it between iPhone and Mac? My English is not good, please explain. Thank
@@ScottDumas I just got in the Desview T2 on Saturday. I have it all set up, just trying to determine which software I want to use. Any recommendations? I would like to use the one I can type out my script on the PC, then transfer it to my iPhone to use with the teleprompter. Otherwise, my thumbs are going to hurt like crazy if always writing the scripts out via "texting" on my phone.
Question! Do teleprinters reduce image quality, or sharpness? I have been using one but I notice the image is blurry and not so crisp. I use a canon R6 with clog 3, and sharpness in 2.
Unless the glass is dirty I can't imagine it would cause a problem besides the very slight color/exposure shift... I've never seen any noticeable hit on image quality shooting in any profile/camera.
@@ScottDumas I have seen the exposure change. But you say there is also a color balance shift? Can you explain what change does it make? Does it make the image warmer or cooler? Just so that I know
@@ebenezer357 It's usually a VERY small shift, making it warmer if my memory is correct but it's almost unnoticeable in most good teleprompters. These both hardly have any effect.
Thanks for sharing! We’ve moved a lot of our events online and am thinking about setting one of these up for our second season. I’d choose the Prompter People because we may need the option of not using a dsl as the camera.
Ha, I've been thinking about picking up a prompter to use in some videos. due to my setup I was leaning towards the Desview mainly because most of the better built prompters were designed with a 4:3 format unless one got something massive. This Pocket Cue is a promising looking alternative with a more appealing build design in many ways. The only other factor was my desk layout. Currently my camera sits below my monitors meaning a prompter had to have a short vertical footprint. For that reason the Desview would have been a better option; however, I'm about changing things up in a major way, and my new layout will give far more vertical room for my camera meaning the pocket prompter could potential work again. Thanks for another great video Scott!
God bless! Believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior and died on a cross for our sins so we can live again in Heaven where there is no pain or suffering! God is our Father and Creator and raised His Son Jesus from the dead! Confess and repent of your sins and God will freely forgive you! Trust in God and live for Jesus as He died for you! 💕 (don’t swear or take God’s name in vain!)💚

I am not interested in the Pocket Cue, but someone was thinking that MAGNET clamp systems is the way to go.....
