La Strada is a timeless masterpiece at more than one level. A genius director with genius castings. Her role was executed in the most skillful way and was an essential hub in the chemistry of the film. A film for the ages.
In my opinion, she is one of the great European actresses of the 20th century. Her performances always have moved me. Emotionally powerful. La Strada and Nights of Cabiria are two of my fav films, directed of course, by her husband, the great Federico Fellini.
It is a wonderful surprise to see Giulietta in such a glamorous appearance. I know her from "La Strada" and "Le Notti di Cabiria," two astoundingly terrific performances. There are some people who I wish I could have met. She is one of them.
