- First AMV messing around in Sony Vegas, I used to watch hundreds of AMVs when I was a kid in internet cafes and still watch hundreds of AMVs, I'm 30 now xD This is always something I wanted to try out and give back to the community even if I suck at editing I hope all 5 of you enjoy it.

I won't lie. I have encouraged my son's to watch DBZ for years. It was my way to explain to very young boys the concepts of good and evil, courage, pride, friendship, betrayal, and death in ways they could understand and connect with using Goku, Vegeta, and others. Now they are in their teens and I still use them as examples of what hard work, pride, and dedication bring a person.

I hope to do the same foe my kids. DBZ was playing in my head in every workout and practice our couch put me through. It really helps during the rough times where you really need just a little more energy. It helped me become an NCAA All-American and national champion.

As did I. Thats all I ever needed from my father. I wanted his pride. When my grandparents passed away i sat at my grandfathers casket. Weeping despite when I was 5 years old him telling me that crying was for little girls and if I didnt stop he'd give me something to cry about. I sat at that casket telling my grandpa im.sorry for shaming him and my family with my tears. And I hoped he'd be proud of who id be one day

He's far more complex and conflicted than Goku. From nearly the beginning Goku was white. But Vegeta is a swimming pool full of grey. He's more real and relatable. Like Goku he's a diamond, but a diamond with it's many flaws. Truth is, for a saiyan, he's very much human.

@@mikados0173 No, that's not why I dislike it, I dislike it because the new dialogue and the new music lacks impact--and it doesn't translate as well to the canon as DBZ did. I have no problem with revamping (DBZ needed it), so I'm not an OG DBZ purist in that sense; but Kai manages to underperform it's predecessor in pretty much every aspect. Again this is just my opinion.

Vegeta's self destruct was the realest and dopest moment in DBZ. Don't try to tell me goku sacrifice with cell was the same thing it wasn't even close. I didn't really appreciate Vegeta until recently but if you really take a look back at the series there's no character thats developed as much as Vegeta (I would put Piccolo as a number 2) Vegeta NEVER gets the W against any real threats in the series even though his kill count is crazy. The fact that the series continually relied on Goku to save the day was bullshit. Vegeta consistently fought with EVERYTHING he had. Everytime Goku needed more time to defeat the enemy Vegeta ALWAYS was willing to be the one to hold the enemy off taking ass whooping that no one in the series could have withstood. I really think it was a bad decision on Toriyama and the writing cast to not have Vegeta be the winner of the Universe survival tournament, he deserved it more than anyone and they downplayed the fact that when he was in the hyperbolic time chamber he was able to unlock a whole new level of Super Saiyan. AND on top of everything he never got super saiyan 3. WTF?!?! PUT SOME RESPECT ON THE PRINCE OF ALL SAIYANS NAME!! There will never be a better story than the bad guy who ultimately turned good. Daniel Lopez I still don't like Vegeta. Why? Because he never showed remorse for being evil and destroying thousands/billions of lives(he killed that bug planet.) He probably isn't and if he was he would never show it because of his "pride". Vegeta puts his pride over his heart. In fact it's proven when he tells trunks he's proud of him. Instead of saying he loves him. Goku puts heart over pride.
Game Couch you are NOT wrong and this put me off of Vegeta for a while until I started thinking about how Vegeta's obligation to his race. If you watched Super they actually embellished on this point more when they show his relationship with Cabba. Vegeta cares about his people more than any other saiyan I would say. Goku never really accepted the fact that he was a saiyan to be honest except for the fact that he was able to profit from the power the saiyan Z power gave him. An even more savage Vegeta moment was during the tournament right before Buu was unleashed and Vegeta blasted all those innocent people to show Goku how serious he was. (He was Majin but still I always felt like Vegeta was never truly under babidi's power to begin with) but I think this only goes to show again how far Vegeta really has come

EDIT: People can like Vegeta all they want, but when they say they hate Goku I feel like they are being ignorant to the fact that he's been good since episode 1. I keep waiting for Vegeta to grow a bigger heart but it still hasn't happened yet. If I was writing super I would end the series with Goku losing his whole family to a villain. Then after goku experiences great loss and dwells in the vengeance of killing his family's murderer(grand priests demon counterpart or something) he becomes evil. Then the final battle would be Vegeta vs Goku with Vegeta losing(surprise) but as soon as goku is about to destroy vegeta and the entire cosmos, he sees a ghost of one of his boys and decides to take his own life. I think this is the only way I will be able to like Vegeta on the same level as Goku.

Vegeta is my favorite because he reminds me so much of my own dad. My dad was a man about his pride, he always liked doing things on his own, he didn't want help, and he had his own home gym that he kept using to train and get stronger and protect my mom and I.

Because he not only had the physical ability, but he had the heart and understanding and COMPASSION to win over many of his adversaries AND make them better in the process!! No doubt,Goku's sacrifice against Cell influenced Vegeta to do the same against Buu!! Overall,Vegeta and Goku,indirectly,have always been team mates!! One pushes the other to achieve new levels! Both have worthy attributes and I don't believe the series is complete without either!!!

Vegeta has always been my favorite character. He has the best character development out of anyone in the whole series. His struggles, imperfections, yet transcendence are more relatable to me. He is unapologetic.
this should to be the end of buu saga , it should have been.....
It should've been yeah, and then they could've had given the next arc to Ultimate Gohan, and then one more after that where Gohan fails and Gotenks fails. Then they bring back Vegeta like how they did against Buuhan, and Supreme Kai gives his life to Goku since he doesn't know about Vegeta coming back, and then have that same fight that Goku and Vegeta had on Supreme Kai's planet but with a different enemy.

I think the way of it ending brings it more emotion. He wasn't even sure if it would have killed buu either. The fact he was able to go that length for the ones he cared about it truly amazing. The real question is imagine if he never came back from this moment...

What I reckon would be sick is if Vageta fights jiren, but does a little motivational speech before hand about his meditation in the time chamber and how he had time to think about more then just himself and getting better, how he thinks he finally understands why people care so much about life around them and how he now understands the importance of saving his family and the universe from getting wiped out, then once he's done some fighting for a little bit, it could be the same sort of scene that goku had where jiren is just blocking shots, vegeta could then jump back and do some shouting bit where he says the prince of saiyans won't lose, the prince of saiyans can't lose because of everyone who is counting on him to do well, then he shouts, powers up and hits his new form or his hidden form that he's had since the time chamber. Now cue the epic battle between vegeta and jiren :D

this was truely amazing. I literally cried i can't believe it. Vegeta is a role model for everyone that is broken inside. If you fall, you stand up, never forget your pride, because it's never too late to become who you might have been. That's what Vegeta taught me, may sound ridiculous, but Vegeta was a better father to me than my real one. Incredible what you can learn through a fictional character. Vegeta and few other fictional Characters taught me many things, they basically raised me and showed me the way, and they will always be in my heart and mind, should i lose my way, i know who to look up to, and i believe, that through this phenomenon, fictional characters come to life. These characters live inside me, molded me... part of me IS Vegeta.
This was the real end to DBZ for me.
When I saw Majin Vegetas sacrifice for the first time, I teared up realising all Vegeta wanted was to hold his son one last time. He came back from his arrogance and egotistical nature and realised all that mattered was what he was gifted with. A wife and kids. A family. He didn't have to be better than Goku in that moment. All he thought about was to save his family. He forgot about his pride, therefore the second best thing he had was family. He knew he would die and would even ask if he would see his rival/friend in the otherworld. Yet when he finds out he won't go there but to hell, he didn't even care. He was willing to sacrifice himself in the name of his family, race and lastly his pride.

Molten Order , I disagree broski. I think the saga was way, way too long. And I think it would have been a nice touch to have vegeta both atone for his mistakes and redeem himself at the same time. Plus honestly I honestly can't stand the premise of everything riding on goku in every major conflict. From nappa to buu, they replayed the whole "wait for goku" theme too many times.
The Buu and cell saga was fan service. Akira Toriyama was having a burn out at the end of Cell saga but still manage to produce another season for the fan. He didn't want to, therefore, we had a shit adult Gohan and a villain that was a pink Goo. Even though he wanted to end the DBZ series, he still manages to captivate the fans and we keep asking for more. So just be thankful, that once again we got what we wanted.

Vegeta is the perfect example of masculinity being healthy when it's kept in balance. Sure he was dark minded before, but it was his perserverance, his anger, his willing to fight with his heart, him knowing when to be harsh, but honest, to help people grow. He knows when to not show mercy, when people's lives are at stake most of the time goku doesn't take the situation seriously. Vegeta does, he learned to not underestimate his opponent, to show humility and respect, while at the same time respecting himself by telling himself it is an obstacle he can overcome.

People keep saying that Vegeta gets fucked over and they are right, to some extent. In the end of Dragon Ball Z Vegeta gets to be the one to fight Goku. Their fight will be monumental, so much so that they decide to Duke it out in another Galaxy in order to prevent the Shockwaves of their fist slaming against each other from destroying their home. Their fight is so legendary that even Gohan noticed their energy, but by the time it arrived to him the fight was long over. Imagine in the end how many fights Goku has won, but only Vegeta has the right to end him.

The fact that krillin cared when vegeta opped himself shows you the major character development he has gone thru. At one point krillin was gonna merc vegeta with a kanata now he’s screaming his name in pain for the loss of a friend.

JESUS this was a really well put together video. Vegeta is the most tragic character in all of Dragonball. Just one time, JUST ONE TIME, I would have begged for him to stand tall above the next big bad. To this day I will argue to the death that he should have, without question, killed Cell. But instead they passed the buck to an emotionally unstable pre-teen who was manipulated into basically losing his sanity and being one step away from being classified as a sociopath. TFS nailed it right on the head with their "ripping off a butterfly's wings" joke. Vegeta deserved that moment, and he didn't get it. And they again screwed him against Fat Buu.

Vegeta always believed n never doubted himself for a second. He wasn’t always right, he wasn’t always the strongest, but he always gave 1000% to whatever he did. His actions spoke just as loud as his words and in that theres a real lesson to be learned.

This makes me emotional every time I watch this. It was done very well. The being of it, when vegeta is talking to trunks. Reminds me of my dad talking to me when he had cancer and was about to pass away from it. How proud he was of me. He was best friend and was taken away from me to soon. It will be 8 years this August since he has past and to see a video about vegeta my favorite character of all time for DBZ characters. Makes me happy, sad and angry every time I watch this. This is sad on how many people think that Vegeta is an Anti-hero from other peoples perspectives, but to me, he is a hero who never show his weakness, a warrior who breaks his limits for others, and a Saiyan who wield his pride like a weapon.

Vegeta is only "good", because of Goku, who believed in him, and saw good in him, when nobody else did.
Before this he never fought for others! He didn't give a damn for his family before this.
He admitted himself that he hoped that a family would make him stronger, but it didn't!
He is the anti-hero for good reason. Goku is the real hero. Vegeta can be grateful, that Goku wants to be his friend.

I found this video 1 year ago and i still use it as a motivation and i still tear up every time when i hear it or watch it but its still motivating me. Well happy new year and achieve your goals for this year even if its unreal and other people dont belive in you prove them wrong.
That speech with trunks made me cry when it first came out when I was younger no lies. The father son relationship hit hard. Now that I'm older and have kids it hits the same but different if that makes sense.
If they finished Dragon Ball with Vegeta's sacrifice, his character and story would've truly felt meaningful and complete.
