Didn't even get a notification until now, YT sucks at notifications

And this is when I plug my email notifications. I always personally send out email notifications at 9 AM MST (MDT when daylight savings is in season) the day of a video [same for planned streams], so you at least know its coming. All I need is a name/nickname and preferred email; you can sign up here - forms.gle/9oErkFFawFYkbYxz8 // But yeah, YT SUCKS at notifications. I have a good feeling it's why nobody was in the live chat till a good minute into the video and why it's got crap for views for the time frame in spite of being a generally more popular topic. YT Notifications are still a nice extra layer as a backup, but it's not reliable by any means of the earth.

The way they are using it for storage reminds me of what happened to a shuttered movie theater not far from me. It was a dollar theater that ran movies for their second run just before they left theaters for home video, and moved a few miles away to another space. When they vacated, it was used as a warehouse for construction materials for the longest of time. Today, that space is a storage unit.

This flooded in Sept of 2014 and they were never able to recoup from the losses, decided to close it instead. I know this only because I was pregnant with my first at the time.. went to go shopping there and it was closed due to flooding at that time. We had heavy rains for 2 weeks! Will never forget it! Was claimed as a loss and closed officially a few months later.

I had heard claims of a leaky roof, but I never knew of a flood! Wow!

For what it is, I like it too! Considering it's right off of a very busy highway, it's pretty convenient for other neighborhoods with what I've seen so far.

You have nice b-roll. Good idea to go and check the back of the store.

For sure, never know what you may find. Sometimes it's nothing othertimes, might be signs, etc. for the building. I'd say just as important to document them since they are part of what made a place what it is/was.

I heard this location had some sort of leaking problem though I am unsure if it began happening before the store closed nor whether it would influence the decision to close.

Do you have an abandoned Toys R Us, Kids R Us, or Babies R Us near you? Maybe a mixture!? OR, for those in other countries like Canada, how far is your nearest open Toys R Us store? Let's chat!

@@realluser-smore-2519 We had em all over Colorado. Most I know of used the modernesque facade although the on in Fort Collins used the tile outline of the doors before it moved.

There is an abandoned Toys R Us down the street from me that is now the corporate offices for some company called MetaRock Laboratories and then just around the corner from there is a former Babies R Us that is currently being converted to some store called Souq.

@Gabriel The Gamer, Collector & Window Shopper Oo nice replacement! I haven'tbeen to one as they aren't in my area, but they seem to be cool stores that reuse existing facades when possible!

Me too, hopefully soon! The plaza is doing overall fairly well. Most the businesses are regularly busy. The new five below was packed in my visit later this day!

I hit up a chunk of em. If it's in the main plaza area, then Idk, but for the phase ii expansion portion, I think I got it all - Bed Bath and Beyond, this BRU, and the old ulta beauty. Bbb and ulta are both on the shorts channel.

I stumbled across info via a wiki that said 2013 for closing, but it gave no source, and I can't trust the page I found because it had the wrong open date, off by several years. 2013 sounds about right for a closing date, I don't have any reason to doubt it. I wonder if there's a print newspaper or, surely, some photos somewhere that could be a source, something that in theory, anyone could see and instantly be like, "oh yeah, if closed in this year."
