    I just bought Sledge parts from you on ebay. I bent my chassis day 3. New M2C chassis gets here tomorrow. Can't wait to get her back together.
    Nice track area you have to play on.

    Thing rips!! Was just wondering tho what would happen if u ran the 2500 kv motor on 6s, I’m looking at doing a speed built running nimh batteries to see how fast I can push them and was gonna put in 14s nimh (16.8v) and was wondering if that would be bad for the esc running it on the higher kv than what hobbywing recommends

    Hey do you know if a max 8 v3 can fit on stock sledge esc plate??

  • @greatwhitenorthrc509
    @greatwhitenorthrc509 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I did that swap and honestly I didn’t find much difference in power between stock and the maxx 8 esc .

    How’s the new ESC holding up? Did I you had some issues with it? did you get a new motor as well? Thanks

    Are factory batteries OK to use with ESC & motor upgrade?

    What gear ration are you using? And do you use that ratio on 6s while bashing/offroad?

    So do you think this will fit in the shorter Maxx V1 chassis? Looks like with the sensor wire exit point etc it may be a tighter fit than the original max8?

    • @GarageLifeRC
      @GarageLifeRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it would be a tight fit in a v1 maxx. im sure you could come up with a way to make it work though!

    you should have got the g1 max 8 , the g2 is made to be sensored , pair it with a g2 hobbywing motor and you get turbo timing .

    • @GarageLifeRC
      @GarageLifeRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have the g1 in multiple vehicles. I got the g2 for this and the g2 motor is going in. I didn’t have it for the vehicle yet at the time of recording

    I’m thinking about getting a Sledge but I want to run the Castle 1717-1650kv combo. I don’t think it will fit due to the servo pivot mount behind the motor. I believe the castle can is 3.3” long. Can’t wait to see you fit the new motor.

    • @theforerunners5171
      @theforerunners5171 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep, looking at one of those too. M2C is currently working on a motor mount setup that'll let you use bigger motors. Can't wait to see what they have.

    • @cmcconn100
      @cmcconn100 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's why you upgrade to an M2C chassis, then that combo fits.

    • @punishedbylee
      @punishedbylee ปีที่แล้ว

      The MMX8/1717 combo will also fit in a Sledge with a stock chassis with a KC RC motor mount. 👍

    Forgive me I’m just getting into this but to switch the ESC’s I have to cut wires and solder and all that good stuff ? How hard is it ?

    • @GarageLifeRC
      @GarageLifeRC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not always. when you switch in the sledge, I just put the new esc in. the Stock motor fits and plugs into the ESC. the thing you might have to solder is your plug. it depends on the plug you use for your battery

    • @gonzodetroitify
      @gonzodetroitify 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Exactly my thoughts also they’re the same specs almost if not better so would this be a better esc than max6 if you only want to run 6s with tall gearing that one would usually swap to max6 for 🤔🫡
