I havent played League in one year, because my mental health was rly bad and my therapist said I should stop playing the game for good, because it brings up so many negative emotions, but I have to say that I really love this game, most of the community and Esport so much and that I miss it a lot to play.
I was never so invested in anything like I invested myself with league and the esport around it and I think I will never find a game that will give me so much joy and also so much anger ever again...

I tear up watching this. It’s brings me back to when I was younger. I’d get hype about everything in league. Living a care-free life. I remember the long nights that I would stay up late with friends and watch Worlds. Now I am almost graduating college no longer have time to enjoy the game as much as I did. It was an amazing video. This year Worlds trailer is really lacking in terms of both buildup AND emotion.

I never understood the hype around events such as the world cup and the super bowl until I experienced Worlds for the first time. I admittedly don't play league anymore and haven't been for a good while. But I will always consume league content on the regular, keep up with updates, obsess over new lore and characters, geek out about the most minute aspects and quirks the game has, talk trash of how much the game sucks, talk about how much I like the game, thirst over female league of legends splash arts, and watch worlds with my friends in vc. This year, I'm planning on going to finals because it's in my area and I have never been more hyped.
This made me emotional and im not entirely sure why, but i loved it!
It still blows my mind that these tournaments fill out entire stadiums.
