Also, Ann Meyers from UCLA was signed by the Pacers in 1980. She signed a $50k contract and she actually practiced with the team that summer, but didn't make the cut.

Brittney Griner was also slated to possibly be in the NBA as well. However this was after Jordan entered the league and started the changes and skill levels that we see today. By the mid-2000s it was becoming more impossible for women to keep up.
Griner's date of entry made her incredibly impressive skills with women completely mediocre for men. She's 6'8'', which isn't tall enough in today's game, paired with her jump height would make her under average in almost every area compared to her teammates.

Yes, I remember when it happened, and the journalist went crazy when that happened
The referee (Joey Crawford) was suspended by the NBA for the remainder of the season. He was also required to attend anger management and other courses before being reinstated (which he ultimately was).

#8 -- Unwritten rules are BS. In some cases, the points scored matter when breaking ties to determine which team advances. Some players just don't want their feelings hurt when their loss is rubbed in.

The Original sport of Basketball became Netball a sport mostly played in Europe and is still second to Basketball in Europe in terms of both sports. The ball part is that the Soccer ball at the time looked like a Volleyball and did until after WWII. I mean wonder why all three at least indoor Volleyball, Soccer, and Basketball have the same sized ball?
