Can't say I thought I'd ever need a shovel for a detail but I guess there's a first time for everything! Also, thanks to Bobby for the helping hand 🤣
Check out the NEW Yard Geek video and have a great weekend!!
I have a question: Would you rather clean a muddy truck bed or a bloody one
@@DeronMathew I hv a better Q. 2 ask.
Y as a detailer he restores vehicles but secretly(or not) perhaps he likes 2c them get demolished?
He would ❤ 2 go 2 the Monster Truck Shows
where them Monster Trucks crush them vehicles.we hv shows like that around here.he needs 2b the driver.
It was kind of shock'g 2 know that about him.😂🤣
Technically second time you’ve used a shovel. You used one on your bobcat
Chevy > Ford….just saying! Only fords a like the 88” 5.0 mustang, and all the raptors
Kinda different though...and they weren't used in the same manner.@@Rodknockacres
Great job Mr Mitch! I learned how to clean my truck just by watching you and bought a lot of your stuff and I'm a 67 year old Woman! 👍👍👍
I love these years of trucks. Durable, reliable, not the strongest in terms of torque but they do what you need them to do, seats are comfortable, easy to work on and parts are still cheap and they look absolutely great
Yes
Still my all time fav truck design. Surprised at how little rust there is on this one.
I prefer the 80s style
Like a Rock...
@@chrisnorden8043 It just sits there!
I sometimes feel like I need to send you a fee for all the knowledge I have stolen from you. I literally follow your process step-by-step in my details. Excellent job.
Great job Mitch! It brought back memories of my 1994 GMC Sierra single cab that I bought for my 21st birthday and owned for 15 years. It had vinyl floors, bench seating and a ranch hand bumper. I only have one picture of it after I detailed it. I have it somewhere. 🤣
Usually I'm just like "yeah that looks nice" but, no!. This time that truck really did pop, especially when you were showing that side angle. It was really looking good man.
To this day that is still one of my favorite body styles of the gm pickups!
That was the truck of choice of my 20s. That carpeted floor mat isn’t factory. That truck also originally had different seats also. Those seats are from a higher trim level model. Ford still offers a vinyl floor in a well equipped Super Duty, I was in a Lariat recently with leather console and panaromic roof and it had a vinyl floor. Nice job as usual Mitch.
I think it's actually an SLE with the carpet delete option.
this is my truck, it is an SLE with rubber floors ordered
@@majack82
Yard Geek videos are great. I am learning quite a bit.
This truck is a beast. You made it look new.
I'm a Ford guy too but, that GMC is a Killer. Great job.
That was there best looking body style
Aces again Mitch, always dig my Friday mornings!
It was nice to see bobby helping out by carrying all that junk to the dumpster. I knew that blue-green color would be beautiful when you were done with it. I have never considered the vinyl floors in those older trucks. Very much a good idea for easier cleaning. Those seats were amazing. Once cleaned, they looked as comfy as a living room chair. They really did not skimp on those materials. It's cool that the lift allowed you to clean so well under the truck. It's not RUBY, but it sure turned out well. I have watched the new Yard Geek video a couple of times. It sure is a fun channel. Thanks Mitch and have a wonderful weekend. 💜#MikeRules #MikeIsStillMyFavorite.
#mikeisstillmyfavorite Ha! Love it!
@Joel, Hi, That's wonderful seeing you here. Oh, darn! I woke up a little late watching Mitch. That was why I worked overtime for a few days. It makes me fantastic that the 1998 GMC Sierra truck looks so good in color on an old truck. The classic still is the best truck and car better than technology vehicles. Technology is a big headache. Good ideas say #MikeStillMyFavorite is hilarious. Have an enjoyable day and a nice weekend. I have planned such all day for the event tomorrow. 😊
@@cynthiahopkins7090 Welcome Cynthia. Good to see you here as well. Yes, technology is great when it works, when it doesn't it's a pain. Overtime work during the holidays? Make sure you get your time off. You deserve it. Have a great weekend and pace yourself. Take care my friend.
Thanks Joel! It’s a good thing I’ve got Bobby (and a big garbage bin) otherwise I’m not sure what I would have done with all that mud and garbage 😄 Glad you enjoyed the new YG vid, more coming soon!
Have a great weekend!
@@joelbuchanan471 Yes, that's right, I finished working to help all of the students for the final semester.
I have a 96, wish it was as nice as this one. Love watching you do the older cars.
Hey hey hey, it’s Friday. Have a wonderful weekend Mitch.❤
That was insane!! What a transformation especially in the bed of that truck, great job Mitch. Have a good weekend everyone 😊
Hey Botdog, I agree, that was fun to watch. I am always glad you're here. Have a great weekend!
Hi Botdog, yes that's exactly right. Have a wonderful weekend.
@@joelbuchanan471 I’m always here even if I’m late!
@@cynthiahopkins7090 you too!!
Thanks! You too!
The Quality of the good old 80 was the best . You see and feel the different from now to then .
Something about this truck just looks... FUN! Not that I would ever have a use for something that size, but damn if it doesn't look good after you've gotten your hands on it. Superb work, as always!
I have a 2002 GMC with vinyl floors, and it is the best thing ever. It's my woods truck, and even if I keep the rest of the interior clean, the floors get trashed with mud and dirt. The vinyl floors make clean up so easy. There is a reason tractors all have vinyl floors.
When I watch your videos you impress me how clean you get the truck
My dad;s 2020 F150 has vinyl floors. Only it's the XL, FX4, with sport appearance and towing, so it's not all poverty spec
Morning Mitch, another amazing job, looks real good, I love it! Salute!💯
Hey Mitch how have you been doing I bet the weather is really cold in Canada
I'd love to see some of the final pics of some of your detailed vehicles fully restored after owner finishes it, esp that fire red Mustang! Thanks
The first farm truck I detailed had a vinyl floor in it, also the only vinyl floor I ever detailed, definitely saved me so many hours of work
Looks like the upholstery on the door of this older vehicle is better quality than seats and carpet on newer vehicles. I like the C/K generation trucks. Taking the trash out at the end: now you're just showing off. ❤️
I am absolutely enthralled with your videos! I've never been interested in car detailing, but ever since I found your channel, I REALLY want to detail a car. I even showed my cousin your videos to convince him to go detail his car with me
Nice work! 👊🏻😎🔨 Came out great.
Just curious. Do ask people to leave all that stuff in their vehicles. If it was me my vehicle would have all that crap removed before it got to you. If i was detailing that would come at a cost. Dumpsters are not free and they are not free to be serviced as well. Just curious
I would be embarrassed for Mitch seeing how nasty my car/truck was.
Most detailers might be annoyed when they have to remove lots of extra personal stuff but it helps with content for Mitch the heavy dirt and debris isn't what takes the most time it's the carpet, fabric seats, and crevices that eats up the hours on the inside and the paint correcting on the exterior.
He probably said leave everything how it is which I would too if I were making detail videos. Makes the videos even more satisfying.
he’s said in other videos that he tells them to leave it as is when they bring it in
Did you hear this truck has been sitting for 25 years
The plush softness of those seats is amazing.
I know you are a Ford guy, I am a bow tie guy and this truck looked badass when you were done! Great job as always. Learn so much from your channel thank you!
Yet another fantastic video -many congratulations (from Scotland)!! Point of order: Is there a wee continuity problem? You drive the vehicle into the studio through the open door (how else?). Quick cut to underneath shot as you drive over the camera. Then cut to the truck coming to a stop - but the door has closed. That is a very quick closing door. Could be wrong. Anyway, always looking forward to the next video.
Of course. If the door was open when I got out of the truck it would have messed with the audio as my neighbour was making a bunch of noise. Don’t think so hard about these things and it’ll be fine 😉
It is always so good to see you. Every time I watch your video you always do an awesome and amazing job. Thank you so very much for all of your hard work and dedication. May the good LORD always bless you and keep you safe and healthy where ever you go. Enjoy your day and take care
Happy Friday, everyone! Let's get Detailing!
I know you live in a winter wonderland, but it always makes me so sad to see the rust!
Ooo weee that’s a slick truck!
I have never seen you clean the engine compartment. Do you do it also?
That truck is in pretty good shape for its age.
Awesome job as always! I want that truck for Christmas!! lol.
Hey Mitch, there's not a car that you can’t make shine. Your work is excellent! Thanks for sharing! God bless you! 💪💣❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Thank you have a great weekend Mitch.
Oh man, I know it's gonna be a good video! 👌
The chrome tube running boards are impressive. Most of the time they are rusting out to some degree. Nice detail.
I like the addition of the natural sounds alongside the music.
I see the trees in the background at the beginning! They don't look like sticks in the ground anymore 😂
By the way, I look forward to your videos every Friday 💯🔥
I first read the title as “I cleaned the SHIT out of this truck” and thought your were just super enthusiastic about what a great job you did, not cleaning actual feces from the truck 😂😂😂
Have a great Christmas 🎄
I love the Chevy trucks from the 90’s and back. My first was an ‘87 GMC Sierra, I painted it a similar color to this one. Hell uva job as usual.
Im a Ford guy by heart, too. But I had a red 98 k1500. I miss that truck so much. You did another awesome detail.
Thanks 👍
The Interior, the upholstery of the seats, and the vinyl carpet look good quality and with no damage to the 25-year-old truck. The windshields need replacement. The vinyl floors of the carpet work cleaning very smoothly. You are wise to have Bobby that dump heavy bag. I love that old vehicle and worth of the classic. Have a great weekend! 👏💪🚘❤️
Thanks Cynthia, have a great weekend!!
Dang good looking truck. Probably my favorite vehicle you've detailed. Love a lifted extended cab OBS Chevy/GMC.
Miitch, excellent job on the GMC! It looks like a brand new truck! We had a 1976 Chevrolet truck that was sky blue. It was fun to drive.
Great generation for GM trucks and SUVs. Just the other day I saw a suburban 2500 diesel still running around Portsmouth NH
The cleanest GMC Iv seen. Iv always wanted a truck like this.
Hey there Detail Geek that actually do offer the vinyl flooring on new truck if u want to but mostly guys get on basic work truck or commercial vehicles specially
great job Mitch! Ford guy here too, but that truck looks really great!
Very nice job! I agree. Good looking truck
Hey Mitch I said it before and I'll say it again once you get a vehicle you make it look showroom new. I love the color of the truck also the tires could be just a little taller and fatter. BTW we are Chevy people sorry Ford guys lol keep up the good work Mitch and see you in the next video🤔🚙👏
You’re doing what my dream job was when I was a kid.
Still is mine I’m 21 years old. Got a buddy that wants to try this out with my next summer. I can’t wait aha
Nice job Mitch! That old truck is in pretty good shape. You just raised the value of that vehicle. Great video
Thanks 👍
Cleaned up good! I used to have one of those old Chevy trucks that we beat the hell out of. Funny I have the same socks as you🤙
That exhaust sounds good 👍... Well done sir 👍
I love older vehicles. I will say it every time.....u da man!🫶
Man that truck looks amazing. Wish it was mine! Nice work Mitch.
I like the new intro to the video
Got the old girl looking like a beauty queen again!!!😂 Looks amazing and I bet the owners were surprised how clean she came. 👍🏻👍🏻💜💜💜
Agreed! It’s a great looking truck! Yes the owner was thrilled!
Hey Mitch! I was wondering the process in which you set up your foam cannon. Hot versus cold water, shaking it versus “swirling” the bottle, ratio of soap. My foam cannon does ok but nearly as much luscious foam as you get 😅
God this truck is absolutely gorgeous to me, ive always wanted a truck like this but a 97 model
Hey Mitch, love this bit! 💪💣❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥Thanks!
I still cant get over the ending with the garbage bag, classic! Great video as always
Mitch, have you considered purchasing a creeper for the times you work on lifted trucks in order to not torque your back?
My buddy has 2020 Silverado 2500 wt and it has the vinyl floors .
Did you clay bar or spray iron remover???? Don’t think I saw that in the video
I really like this truck and love big tires. Of course, you did an awesome job.
Thank you!
This truck has an exhaust leak on it if u notice the black soot around the flange area
Thank you for saying that about vinyl/rubberized floors. They really should be optional on trucks, minivans, and SUV’s.
I’d rather have a vinyl floor. Ford actually offers it as an option on all their trucks, you can even get a platinum or limited trim with vinyl floors
When will you start shipping back to the United Kingdom. The UK has signed a trade agreement with Canada which came into force on 1 April 2021. But your website says it doesn't ship here when I look to order your products? Great video as always.👍🏻
Great job Mitch.
This truck looks absolutely fine and looking so sweet love the color Mitch and it sure looks good for how old it is see you in the next one Mitch have a good weekend
Thank you!
Hey Mitch,
Wow, it looks great to be old school truck.
As Always Amazing!!!❤💯🔥
Thank you!
@@TheDetailGeek your always welcome 😊
the dramatic montage is back lets gooooooo
In case anyone was interested, most truck brands nowadays offer their base model work trucks with vinyl floors, for the exact purpose of easy cleaning.
Yes you’re correct. It would be nice to see the higher trims have the option as well!
Sounds good big boy looking good
How long does it take you to clean a vehicle and how much would you charge?
So the thumbnail implies that this truck has something in common with Mike...just saying 🤣🤣 Amazing detail Mitch, wow!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Oh, man! I am thinking about that, Let us go for the audience at Tim’s Hortons. We can sit on a cozy couch and watch your comedy on the stage. May I have your signed autograph on my notebook? 🤔😅 Have a great day and enjoy the weekend, my friend. Be safe!
@@cynthiahopkins7090 I would totally watch Jennifer do a stand up routine at Tim Hortons while you, Mitch and I all sit on the couch and laugh with coffee and TimBits. That would be heaven to me.
@@cynthiahopkins7090 🤣🤣 I love your sense of humor my friend! Stay safe and you have a great weekend too! See you soon. ☕️🍩
@@joelbuchanan471Oh Joel, you give me too much credit! Mike would be the star of the show and we'd run out of timbits lol. Glad to see you friend, have a good one! ☕️🍩
Hi Mitch I’m wondering why you chose to use steam to clean the floors rather than the drill brush. Just personal preference or experience?
I WANT this truck, looks almost identical to my 93', mine was orange, nor teal blue... (I had an obsession with the Dukes of Hazzard ❤❤❤)😅
My 1995 Cheyenne 4x4 didn't come with matts. Nice job & cool trk👍👍👍👍
Very satisfying video. Outside is stunning
Nice big old truck love it! Made them very strong then! Great condition for 25 yrs. Of course its very dirty! ❤
Dude, you always miss the the chrome tips on the exhaust pipes! All you need is some steel wool and your all purpose cleaner or some windex and it will remove all that carbon and surface rust revealing perfectly shiny chrome.
Amazing work 💯👍🏽🔥💪🏾✊🏾
I had a 98 Silverado with exactly that upholstery. I loved it and would take that over leather seats today.
That thing is CLEANNNNNN! Love a good OBS.
Those late 90's truck where nice and durable to have.
I love this older cars so much. They have much more soul....
Glad to see I'm not the only one who empties the shop garbage cans that way too 😂
I love watching you turn crap into a treasure.
My favorite part is tires and wheels. Can you do two maybe instead of one? Keep up the good work!
Mitch, how much do you charge for your work? Is it different for each vehicle? Or is it a flat rate? Do you give the customer a quote for each job? Thanks. Roger in Pierre South Dakota
