How to Install Low Voltage Landscape Lighting on a Block Pillar - Landscaper Know How. In this video I walk you through how install low voltage landscape lighting on a block pillar. Whether you already have an existing pillar or install a new one it is imperative to have a wire lead inside the pillar. The best way is to install a conduit when the pillar when it is first being constructed. Attaching the light fixtures together with a wire nut lug and seal with an encapsulated silicon cover. Always test the fixtures to make sure they work before finishing the pillar. It is much easier to troubleshoot when you have access to all the wires. Look for low voltage landscape lighting fixtures that have changeable lamps. once the caps are pl'ed in place how do you replace the lights when they break - which they will ?

Great question... the lights that I use are fully accessible once installed. two little screws pop out and the lens comes free so you can change bulbs, although with LED lamps that is a much less frequent task. there is a way to get the cap off after it is glued... slowly wedge pry all the way around and it will separate. another reason to use just enough and not too much adhesive. cheers!
