OMG! I had this motherboard from 2003 up to 2007! It was a beast! It's the Gigabyte GA-7NNXP with the Nvidia nForce 2 Ultra 400 chipset! One of the best motherboards i ever owned and the best motherboard for the AMD Athlon XP platform! Mine though had an extra mini board that you could attach next to the cpu, called Gigabyte Dual-Powered System (DPS) which was intended to ensure system stability even under adverse conditions. It also had an extra fan on it for better cooling! I also had both these cpus! This brought back so many memories! Edit: Well i'm wrong! The mobo in the video is the GA-7N400 Pro! Oh well....
Thank you for making the TH-cam content that you do it's super awesome to get to see all this stuff you're an amazing dude lots of talent thanks for showing off all your cool stuff with us!
I love looking at all of the cool retro stuff that you manage to find. Computers of the past had a special "classy look" that I just don't see in any of the newer designs today. It's kind of like comparing the older much more classier cars of the 50's, 60's and 70's to today's models. Your machines have style...almost like pieces of art! They might not be near as fast as today's modern machines but they are damn COOL! 👍👍
A PC with Athlon XP 3200+ , nForce2 Ultra motherboard and Ti4800 in 2003 was a enthusiast-grade setup back then, and a dream for gamers like myself. Nice to see it working after so many years :)
The thermal Take LP is so bad ass. I do imagine fingers being shredded in it. NO protective bracket for it to save wires and such from premature termination. ;)
Ah, those Dallas RTC. Batteries inside the RTC. Has to de cap or mod so that the battery is replaceable. I also have AMD socket a mobo but it doesn't work, maybe the cap?
13:48 That moment when you made it look like you were about to poke your finger into the spinning fan... but hey, it's all metal so of course, you won't!!
Those SGI's are just so cool looking, they dont do that anymore in new designs. I have an Indigo 2 R10000 Max Impact myself and its by far the coolest looking thing. Next is my Nextstation all in a complete package with monitors and stuff.
I just got a 8800 gts for decoration but i actually would like to build a "retro pc" if you can say that. So if i am going to build a retro pc what would be a realistic cpu to go with the 8800 gts.
ive had ebay searches for that geforce 2 mx from winfast for so long, its the one i first bought in 2001. its terrible but i love it and i cant find it (unless paying far too much from a polish guy!). cool parts you got especially that sgi :o
Wooowww 😁 Thinking, old Amd socket 462, for preservation, should have an ICH. I broke my duron800 (first s462) die. Last cpu still have it for one retro rebuilt, a Barton xp_m 2800+
Socket A and 370 CPUs I always test for short circuit on the capacitors before I dare to put them into a board. I already had so many of them shorting vcore because of damaged dies. The short circuit currents on the vcore and 5V rails of these boards are absolutely massive. I'm surprised this beaten Athlon still works ;-)
oh man....Athlon XP....loved that platform. Also those damaged caps on that mobo were probably hit with the screwdriver when someone tried to mount or release the heatsink,i also once stabbed my motherboard with the screwdriver because of that mounting system.Liked the Athlon XP days and i still have my old Athlon Xp build but i hate that cooler mounting system a lot
5:13 Fine rescue of socket A motherboard, even they are hard to come by. 15:42 That is some beafy GPU cooler, perfect for some hot cards It will go nice with that Artic cooler at 14:57,
CRAZY !! the world is small, the address of this thing is 3 km from my home :) interesting, in the past is official dealers and repairs in europe, now it's leer ... you make a good video on chanel, bye
that all metal fan .... in a case , on the floor.. in florida.. with their fk off cockroach's ... whys my computer not work? omg! its a bloody bug blender.
@@RETROHardware i remember every 1 that i had that had a chipped die worked but xp would lock up games would crash i still have them in a box xp1700/2000/2400/2600xp that was me. hope yours work ok yep its all luck
@Jeroen i know replaced 1 o2 back in the day after some 1 tried to install heatsink wrong thats what them 4 rubber round pads are for but didnt help much,if you took a cpu back to the shop thats the first thing they looked at & if they was chipped you dont get new cpu i remember it well
I'm amazed that athlon xp still works. I'd be interested to see if all features/functions were working properly.
will see in some build/test
That winfast gpu sounds like a blender strugling with berries
I think they should mount that vga cooler on that winfast card, and save the winfast heatsink for the pics.
Yeah, who could have predicted that two small fans would be louder than one big one?
@@axi0maticI think the bearing are shot.
@@nhansgoofyvideos7581 Maybe, but the design of the airflow is still terrible (or not considered at all).
@@axi0matic it's just a quick and easy way to design a cooler. These cards aren't hot enough to require a serious effort.

Zalman HDD coolers with heat pipes. I have not seen those for years :)

yep it was high end setup and still somehow working
nice to see the 3200+ working!!
It's so fascinating on what companies had come up with over the years and most still work like new today. Amazing, thank you for another great video👍.
Nice to see that 7N400 Pro still works, I had one a long time ago and it died back then, brings back memories.
14:33 i have one cooling from arctic cooling for socket 939 using it for amd athlon 64 X2 4800+
That Thermaltake cooler is very nice!
You videos make my day bro!. Thank you 😭😀

Always loved the Look of the SGI Indigo's

Good pieces in collection. You could try some retrobright on Indigo 2 to restore the original color of it ;)
that metallic fan is scary af!
For the dual fan winfast card i'd epoxy in some Noctua 40mm fans.
Just cut them out of the frame ^^
4:05 ... у меня стоит с 2010-2012 года (не помню точно) такой-же радиатор

wooh can't believe that 3200+ powered on!! 😮😮😮
will see under full stress but now looks working
@@RETROHardware also the WinFast 4800SE is very nice! (just needs a little of silicon oil 😉 )
2 litres of oil :-)))
I see you use a Papst fan on your cooler
I love a good AGP system
still uses an Ac Freezer 64pro. . it just Wont Die and keeps bloody working.

Ай лайкед ! Супер пупер охлады !
best times, as graphic cards actually had some games shipped with them. 😄
Ah, you obtained a second Indigo2! So is the prototype system up & running now? Or does the PSU need replacing?
second machine is incomplete - no PSU ... still I dont have working PSU
Very good!
16:44 window fan sound
Whenever I see an Athlon XP, I think "pencil mod!" 🤭 Simpler days...
leadtek geforce 2 mx is the graphic card on my first pc
Is it just me or that Thermaltake all metal cooler spinning backwards?
Look at the radiator fin design. It's spins how it should.
backwards? you want to make tornado? :-)
@@Cpt_Wolf Yeah you're right. It has to send the air sideways not down. I've never seen an CPU cooler like that. It's more like an GPU fan.
