Lego 42055 Review
Experience the huge Bucket Wheel Excavator!
Enjoy building and operating this massive 2-in-1 Bucket Wheel Excavator, the largest LEGO® Technic set to date! This awesome, meticulously detailed reproduction of a real-life mining excavator comes with a cool dark-blue and yellow color scheme and an array of authentic features and functions, including hand-railed walkways, huge tracks and a detailed cab. Switch on the included Power Functions motor and you can activate the conveyor belts, rotate the massive superstructure and maneuver the colossal machine into position. Then activate the boom to lower the gigantic, digging bucket wheel and convey the mined material to the waiting mine truck. When you feel like another building challenge, rebuild it into a Mobile Aggregate Processing Plant.
Features a LEGO® Power Functions motor for an array of motorised functions, including forward and reverse driving, rotating bucket wheel, moving conveyor belts and rotating superstructure, plus a working bucket wheel boom.
Also features hand-railed walkways, lights, mined-material elements and a rugged mine truck.
Switch on the LEGO® Power Functions motor and maneuver the huge tracked structure into position.
Activate the motorised conveyor belts and bucket wheel.
Move the joystick to rotate the massive superstructure.
Raise and lower the huge bucket wheel boom.
Follow the mined material from the bucket wheel to the moving conveyor belts and all the way to the waiting mine truck!
This LEGO® Technic model is designed to provide an immersive and rewarding building experience.
This set includes over 3,900 pieces, making it the largest LEGO® Technic set to date.

Lego 2016 Lego Sets 2016 LEgo technic 2016
Лего спасибо тебе за детство, сейчас пересматриваю эти видео 2015-2016 и вспоминаю как я в 7-8 лет собирал эти наборы 😊😊☺😊☺☺😊
Having this was my dream back in the day.
I bought this built from a seller. I fixed something that needed improvement. I added a rubber band to it with an extra part or two so the flap part would move properly at the end of one of the conveyor belts. I figured out what "dirt" or "rocks" work best for this kit. Use the 1x1 cylinders. Also, the ball parts with an axle hole work well. The lamp post parts the size of mini fig heads also works well with this. It will jam no matter how you "dig", but it's fun. I want to build the "B" model someday, the rock sorter.
I have and built this set. Be sure not to have any of the moving parts interfere with each other. If you only have enough to spend on one, large Lego technic set, I would recommend that you buy the rough terrain crane. It's big, it's red, and it's beautiful. And, it's an awesome addition to any mancave.
How long did it take you to build it? Was it hard?
@@Ryan-sq1tz you can partly judge from the video...
@@Ryan-sq1tzฟ1😊
I have the MK2 crane and the rough terrain crane. Lot of fun with both of them. 🙂
What a great set, can't wait to get my hands on it!!! It's big, bad and ugly, fantastic!!! I really like the complex gear trains. I love the brutal industrial look this set has, the complete opposite of 42056. The way it moves so slowly is almost like a giant mechanical dinosaur. I just wish the 2 linear actuators were motorised. The cute little white dump truck and its cargo finishes the set off nicely.
U like it?
I do not understand people who don't find this heavenly
One word: INSANE!..

Wie lange hast du gebraucht um dieses Lego Modell zu bauen? Also ohne es im Video zu beschleunigen. LG Kilian

I think this set is possibly the best kit to get for someone keen to try experimenting with homebrew builds? Also it is mind boggling how someone could design something like this excavator!

Good lego builgd
Very nice!
what a giant beast *.*
im a big fan of Lego (:
I prefer the Porsche over this because I don't really play with Lego so there's no point of getting a toy that moves and I prefer sports cars more than any other vehicle
Edited: don't get me wrong though. I still like the set
I want this !!

I just wanted to say nice job. This was the first video I watched by you and I'm already impressed! Keep up the good work.
I built this set and WOAH 4 days of building over 3000 pieces and its gigantic no joke its bigger than my baby brother
Increible 10 de 10
Hi Alf, greetings from the UK, just got this on release date (today!) am now looking at it and feeling somewhat daunted (but excited too) watched your video and now feeling VERY excited !!
You got, I also got it!
Why are you feeling daunted?
Have this set, took out the clutch gears, digs up lego really well
My experiences on sluggishness of this set:
1 The base (pedrail) part is actually quite smooth if you leave enough space between gears.
2 The sluggishness comes from :
The upper conveyor belt.It is too close to the walls and the small bars on the belt can hit the walls quite often, especially at the point where bars go to the bottom.
The bucket wheel. You can see clearly the whole system get stuttered when those black gears in the bucket wheel reach the gaps between two wheel gear pieces, simply because the gap is too large. And it takes some efforts for the motor to overcome that gap. It is difficult to fix this. I managed to barely make the system working constantly by loosing all the black gears in the bucket wheel, too loose I almost need to not fully push in some of the parts to make more room for smoother running gears.
All in all, not the greatest experience I have with LEGO Technics. I bought this mainly because there is a killer deal on costco.ca ($200 CAD) and it is a great source of MOC pieces.
Sweet bro
OG Feelings

I pay respect to anyone who managed to build this... monstrosity.

As I do not own this set yet, does this set come with motor functions? Or do we have to buy it separately?
I would subscribe if you talked about the model
